Ok so it’s hard trying to explain this on a picture.

Nowadays it’s like most people are simply focused on the NUMBER on the scale and whether it goes ⬆️ or ⬇️

But this is not a true reflection of your body composition because the scale only shows your weight (abuduhhh) but it doesn’t show whether most of that weight is coming from fat, muscle 💪🏽, or water 💦

There’s a difference between losing FAT and losing WEIGHT

In order to lose weight and fat, you know you need to be in a calorie deficit.

However, the ideal situation is to lose fat and not muscle! Especially if we want to achieve that “toned” look most ppl are after.

So what can we do?

In order to preserve our muscles whilst losing fat the best thing to do is:

1️⃣ include resistance training 🏋🏽‍♀️
2️⃣make sure we are having enough protein in our diet 🍗

If you don’t follow the two steps above, you will simply end up with a smaller version of your current self. Which is absolutely fine! We all have our own goals!

But for those of you who say I want to look more “toned”, adding muscle to your body is what will give you that “look” 👀
