Activ Sports Medicine & Performance Clinic is a modern and well-equipped sports injury practice and athlete performance centre, dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions. Our specialists have worked with national teams and sporting institutes, both locally and internationally. While we treat many elite athletes, we experience a wide and varied patient demographic, and we take the same dynamic approach to benefit everyone, including the non-exercising individual. Our goal is to facilitate zero degrees of separation between you and where you want to be. We also offer strength and conditioning services to local athletes and recreational sports people. We offer the only professionally qualified coaches in Gibraltar, and provide the best overall approach to athletes looking to optimise their athletic potential. We pride ourselves to be the only accredited centre in Gibraltar for treatment of Epte, a new and innovative invasive treatment technique for tendinopathies and musculoskeletal strains. It offers excellent results and quicker return to pre-injury levels. We also offer musculoskeletal ultrasound scanning. Qualifications:

Meet our new physiotherapist, Nicole Norton!

Nicole is a Gibraltarian Physiotherapist who brings a unique blend of specialties to the clinic. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Sports Therapy, where she achieved a 1st Class Honours. She then completed a postgraduate Masters of Science degree in Physiotherapy.

With expertise in functional assessment, movement analysis, therapeutic exercises and manual therapy, she goes beyond treating symptoms to diagnose and address movement dysfunctions for immediate and long-term results.
Nicole's passion lies in restoring optimal functionality and empowering patients to regain their power of movement.

Central to her practice is the belief in patient involvement through education, awareness, advice, empowerment, and active participation in their own treatment. With considerable client-facing skills, she has experience working closely with high-level athletes and healthcare professionals in assessing and treating complex conditions. Her additional specialist expertise lies in sports injury prevention, assessment, management, and rehabilitation.

Please welcome Michelle Darke, our new Physiotherapist at Activ Sports Medicine & Perfromance Clinic.

Michelle has a passion for health, fitness, and volleyball. She started out in Canada as a personal trainer 10 years ago. Since then, she has specialised in personal training with rehab clients, and strength building. She has also taught olympic style lifting, and coached volleyball (in Canada and The Netherlands). She recently completed her Bachelors of Physiotherapy in The Netherlands. Michelle believes in a holistic approach to the body, and keeping the patients' best interests in mind.
Michelle wants to help you reach your goals, whether they are related to a sport, getting back to work, rehab from an injury or preventing injury.
Michelle likes to spend her spare time playing beach volleyball, bouldering, healthy baking, and she has a soft spot for all dogs.
