ARPO CHRISTMAS EVENTS

Dear ARPO Members.

Our upcoming Christmas Functions are as follows:

ARPO Members Christmas Lunch will be on Wednesday 17th December 2025, at 1pm at the IPA club. As always this event will be free for members and their partners.

ARPO Christmas Gala Dinner Dance will this year be held at the IPA club on Saturday 20th December 2025. Family and friends are welcome to attend.

The Menu and price is as follows.

For the ATTENTION of those RETIRED POLICE OFFICERS who retired before APRIL 2013, and are affected by the 3% abatement claim.

A meeting will be held at 6pm on Thursday 9th October at the IPA club.

The latest information received will be explained and a decision will be taken on our way forward.

Please inform all those affected retired Police officers you see.

It is very important for all those affected to attend this meeting and decide our way forward.

Commissioner of Police Owain Richards met earlier today at New Mole House, with some committee members of ARPO (Association of Retired Police Officers)

During the meeting, they discussed strengthening the already good working relationship that has existed historically between them. A brief history and the functions of ARPO was explained.

This introductory visit marks a continued commitment to cooperation and mutual support between both ARPO and the RGP. The commissioner has been invited to visit ARPO office.
In attendance: Mr. Victor Martinez (Sec) Supt Chipolina, Mr. James Ignacio (Chair) COP Owain Richards, Mr Richards Ullger (Treasurer, deputy Chair) Ms Palmina Ferrary and Mr. Henry Sacramento committee members.

A group of fifteen from Gibraltar have attended the 75th anniversary of the IPA (International Police Association) section one Scotland, for a friendship week. For some of the attendees this was their third, 2010, 2015 and now. Excellent week with the highlight being attending The Edinburgh Tattoo on its also 75th anniversary, nothing short of spectacular. Last night was the gala dinner where the gents dressed up in their kilts and the ladies in their evening wear. This morning presentations were made from the different countries attending amongst which were Canada, USA, Germany, Spain and Gibraltar. PC Thomas Risso serving RGP officer presented a commemorative coin on behalf of the RGP, Mr Victor Martinez, Secretary of ARPO (Association of retired Police Officers) presented a glass engraved plaque commemorating the event, last but by no means least, Mr Henry Sacramento a commemorative coin on behalf of the President of the IPA Gibraltar section.

GET TOGETHER ORGANISED BY GEORGE FIELD.

Good Morning.

ATTENTION: This is not an ARPO event.

Due to last year's get together being a success I, the undersigned's intention this year is to get everyone in one sitting. So I propose that if you are free on Thursday 25th of September this year why don't you come along and enjoy dinner amongst colleagues and friends. Dinner will be a hot and cold buffet which will not cost you more than £20 per head excluding beverages, which each and everyone of you will have to pay as you order. If you would like to come, please inform me soon as I need to make arrangements with the staff at the location. The venue will be at the IPA club which will open only for us depending on how many are attending. I will be giving you more information in due course.
