We're all very thankful and proud to have received a Partnership Award in the GHA Staff Awards! ๐Ÿ’š

In Gibraltar we are lucky to have so many organisations all working towards the betterment of our local community ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ฎ

SJA Ghana and Helena were on the local radio yesterday talking about Restart a Heart Day โค๏ธ They also were out 'n' about visiting schools and local communities - another busy, but amazing day!

Following on from yesterday, Helena has also attended some events, met the volunteer coordinator and some amazing young adult volunteers (taking the opportunity to practice clinical skills). She has had the chance to make friends with healthcare colleagues from the National Ambulance Service and share similarities and differences between Gibraltar and Ghana ambulance and hospital services ๐Ÿ’š

She also got to meet the ex-CEO and retired nurse, Madame Hilda, who is based in the local Korle Gonno community and of course stays involved with St John Ambulance! Once you're part of the SJA family, you're hooked ๐Ÿ˜

Did you know, one of our volunteers is over in Ghana ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ’š?

St John Ambulance Ghana very generously invited our Helena to come over and experience SJA life with them! Helena has been keeping us all updated on her day-to-days. She hit the ground running on Day 1 working with the training team delivering first aid training to a local community in Korle Gonno. Although it was delivered in the local language, Ga, she said it was easy to follow along because our training is standard and recognisable no matter where we are in the world!

SJA Gibraltar ๐Ÿ’š SJA Ghana - reflecting the strong connections between SJA organisations all over the world!
