This is a full-time on-site role for a Security Systems Installer located in Gibraltar. The Security Systems Installer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems. Daily tasks include assessing client sites, configuring security equipment, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring all systems are fully operational and compliant with safety standards. Additionally, the role requires providing technical support and managing client relationships to ensure satisfaction with installed systems.

The successful applicant must be proficient in installing and maintaining various security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems. Have technical skills in troubleshooting and repairing security system malfunctions and experience in assessing client needs and configuring security equipment accordingly.
Must have a strong understanding of safety standards and compliance regulations related to security systems.

Valid drivers license is essential.

Man Arrested for Several Bicycle Thefts

At around 8am yesterday morning, police received a report from a security guard at Watergardens that he had seen a man acting suspiciously around a bicycle, which was locked in the area.

The guard challenged the man, who then tried to escape but was detained by the guard. Police officers arrived and saw that the lock to the bike had been cut.

The suspect was searched and was found to be in possession of bolt cutters. At 0810, Response Team officers arrested a Spanish man, 42, resident in Algeciras but working in Gibraltar, on suspicion of Theft.

Whilst at New Mole House and following enquiries regarding other recent bicycle thefts, he was further arrested on suspicion of three bicycle thefts over the past few months.

An investigation is ongoing.
