Inspire, Empower, Nurture and succeed Hope Basketball Academy is here to create student athlete.

Our training sessions are intense and are design to provide empowering tools to enhance athletic performance.we want to provide a basketball experience that will not only shape the athletes basketball skills, but will also make an impact in their lives. We desire that each athlete gains valuable leadership skills in order to make a good impact to their friends , families, schools and community. we seek to help influence their character, confidence, mental toughness, which will empower them to be the best of what they desire to become, both on and off the court. We believe that playing basketball is an excellent avenue to teach moral principles and characteristics such as dedication, teamwork, discipline, self-confidence and sportsmanship.

Adama Cham serves as the Administration and Finance Officer at Hope Project Gambia, where he manages financial records, budgeting, and administrative operations. His attention to detail and strong organizational skills ensure the smooth and transparent running of the project’s daily activities. Adama plays a key role in maintaining accountability and supporting the team’s mission to empower youth through sports and education.

Badara Jeng – Head Coach (Senior Team) & Grassroots Development Coordinator
Badara Jeng serves as the Head Coach of the Senior Team and Grassroots Development Coordinator at Hope Project Gambia. He oversees the training and development of senior players while also leading programs that identify and nurture young talent across the country. With a passion for youth empowerment and player development, Coach Badara focuses on building technical skills, teamwork, and discipline, ensuring a strong pathway from grassroots to elite basketball.

Suwadou Njie serves as the Coordinator of the Champions of Change for Girls initiative under Hope Project Gambia. In this role, she oversees program design, implementation, and community engagement efforts aimed at empowering girls through education, leadership development, and sports. Suwadou is deeply committed to promoting gender equity and creating sustainable opportunities that inspire young girls to become confident, educated, and socially responsible leaders in their communities.

We are pleased to introduce Muhammed Jatta, who serves as the Media and Communications Lead at Hope Project Gambia.
