Ida’s journey in this field began in 2014 when she started volunteering with the Start Now Organization as an administrative secretary and computer trainer for visually impaired individuals. In this capacity, she helped visually impaired people develop critical technical skills, empowering them to navigate the challenges of the digital age. Additionally, she served as an orientation and mobility instructor, helping visually impaired individuals gain independence and confidence in their daily lives. Her hands-on work has given her a deep understanding of the complexities faced by these communities, making her a strong and compassionate advocate for change. Under Ida’s leadership, BrightSight Access Network has emerged as a groundbreaking initiative aimed at facilitating the seamless transition of visually impaired graduates from secondary to tertiary education.
