The Sheikh Regional Eye Care Centre (SZRECC), a tertiary eye care specialist hospital and training Centre is pleased to announce the following career opportunities within our esteemed hospital. We are pleased to invite applications from qualified Gambian professionals for the following positions:
1. Internal Auditor (Grade 8.1) — 1 Vacancy (Age: 25–45)
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive internal audits of financial and operational controls
• Review compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Prepare clear audit reports with actionable recommendations
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA) is highly desirable
• Minimum of 2 years of auditing experience
• Excellent analytical thinking and communication skills
2. Assistant Internal Auditor (Grade 7.1) — 1 Vacancy (Age: 25–35)
Key Responsibilities:
• Support audit processes under guidance from senior auditors
• Assist in compliance reviews and sample testing
• Help compile audit documentation and reports
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• At least 1 year of experience in audit or financial control support
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively as part of a team

3. Procurement Officer (Grade 8.1) — 1 Vacancy (Age: 25–45)
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage purchase orders and maintain procurement records
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Verify invoices and resolve discrepancies
Qualifications:
• Diploma (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Procurement, or related field
• At least 2 years of experience in procurement functions
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office suite
• Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
4. HR Manager (Grade 10.1) — 1 Vacancy (Age: 30–50)
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
• Manage performance appraisal systems and staff training programs
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role
• In-depth knowledge of labor laws and best HR practices
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
5. Senior Accounts Clerk (Grade 6.1) — 1 Vacancy (Age: 20–35)
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in maintaining financial records and ledgers
• Support daily accounting transactions and reconciliations
• Prepare financial statements and assist with monthly closing
Qualifications:
• Diploma in Accounting or related field
• At least 1 year of experience in financial documentation or accounting support
• Competent with accounting software and MS Excel
• Good numeracy, accuracy, and ability to work under supervision
