Institut Pasteur de la Guadeloupe

The Pasteur Institute of Guadeloupe (Established 1948) plays a major role in research, teaching, training, & Public Health in Caribbean.

FB page initiated and maintained by Nalin Rastogi (2010-2018), and presently by David Couvin. The agreement creating the Pasteur Institute of Guadeloupe was signed October 4, 1948 by the Prefect of Guadeloupe and the Director of the Institut Pasteur. Today, the Pasteur Institute of Guadeloupe employs almost 60 people. In addition to a "Laboratory on Environmental Hygiene", and research focusing on "Transmission Reservoirs and Diversity of Pathogens", other public health related activities include vaccination, a WHO designated "Supranational Tuberculosis Reference Laboratory" as well as diagnostics of emerging diseases. Ongoing projects deal with research axes in medical entomology, environmental pathogens, antibiotic resistance, and microbial biodiversity.

Nous sommes ravis d'annoncer la publication, dans , de nos travaux de recherche sur la propagation de la résistance aux antibiotiques dans l'environnement ✨. Notre étude s’intéresse à l'impact du compostage de déchets animaux et de l'application successive de ces composts sur le devenir des entérobactéries résistantes et des gènes de résistance.
