Η ΕΕΑΕ είχε τη χαρά να συμμετέχει στο πάνελ της ημερίδας «ARGO: New Nuclear for Greek Maritime» που διοργάνωσε στην Αθήνα η Core Power, στην οποία παραβρέθηκαν περισσότερα από 120 ηγετικά στελέχη της Ελληνικής ναυτιλίας, όπως επίσης και η ηγεσία του Αμερικανικού Νηογνώμονα ABS. Η συζήτηση εστίασε στη δυνατότητα ανάπτυξης πλωτών πυρηνικών μονάδων (FNPPs) στην Ελλάδα και στις προοπτικές αξιοποίησης της νέας αυτής τεχνολογίας για την ενεργειακή κάλυψη λιμανιών, παράκτιων περιοχών, νησιών.
🎤 Το στέλεχός μας Ασπασία Πετρή ανέπτυξε το κομβικό ζήτημα του καθορισμού κατάλληλου ρυθμιστικού πλαισίου πυρηνικής ασφάλειας για τις απαιτήσεις των σχεδιαζόμενων καινοτόμων εφαρμογών στη θάλασσα.
✅ Η παρουσία μας στην εκδήλωση υπογραμμίζει τη σημασία του ρόλου της εθνικής ρυθμιστικής αρχής στη διασφάλιση της πυρηνικής ασφάλειας, σε κάθε νέα τεχνολογική πρωτοβουλία με προοπτικές ανάπτυξης στη χώρα μας.
EEAE was pleased to participate in the panel of the ‘ARGO: New Nuclear for Greek Maritime’ conference, organized in Athens by Core Power, which was attended by more than 120 high-level leaders of the Greek shipping industry, as well as the leadership of the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). The discussion focused on the potential development of floating nuclear power plants (FNPPs) in Greece and the prospects of utilizing this new technology to cover the energy needs of ports, coastal areas, islands.
🎤 Our colleague, Aspasia Petri, addressed the key issue of establishing an appropriate regulatory framework for nuclear safety in response to the requirements of these innovative maritime applications.
✅ Our participation in the event underlines the essential role of the national regulatory authority in ensuring nuclear safety across every new technological initiative with development prospects in our country.
