✨ A Powerful Scoliosis Success Story ✨

📌 This young patient from Albania visited our clinic at the age of 11 years, presented with a severe and very rapidly progressive scoliosis, starting at 41° lumbar and 31° thoracic.

📌 In just 2 months, her curves had progressed by almost 15 degrees — at a highly vulnerable stage of growth: Risser 0, pre-menarche.

🎯 Given the high risk of further progression, she began full-time brace treatment combined with PSSE–Schroth specific exercises.

👉 Three years later, the results speak for themselves:

✅ Thoracic curve reduced to 11°
✅ Lumbar curve reduced to 16°
✅ Marked clinical improvement in:
• Trunk rotation
• Overall body symmetry
• Pelvic and shoulder balance

✨ Honored and grateful to the OSCARE team for the invitation to participate in The International Symposium of Spinal Deformities and to present the PSSE-Schroth Method within this international online symposium.

🌍 It is a highly valuable initiative by the organizers to provide participants with the opportunity to explore and better understand different scoliosis-specific exercise approaches, directly from the experts and representatives of each school.

📚 Creating a platform that encourages scientific exchange, evidence-based discussion, and mutual respect among different PSSE approaches is essential for advancing a modern, comprehensive, and patient-centered management of spinal deformities.

🗓 My lecture will take place on Saturday 7th at 9:00 PM (Egypt time) and will have a duration of 1.5 hours, focusing on the principles of correction, curve type classification, clinical reasoning, scientific evidence, practical application and treatment outcomes of the PSSE-Schroth Method.

✨ Severe Early Onset Scoliosis (EOS) at only 4 years old, presenting with a 61° right thoracic curve.
📌 After 8 months of brace treatment and PSSE-Schroth exercises, we achieved a remarkable radiological and clinical improvement, with visible changes in alignment, posture, rotation, and cosmetic balance.
👉 Her scoliosis now is 46 degrees!

✅ Her treatment is still ongoing, and it is very early to draw safe long-term conclusions. However, at this stage it seems that we can control progression and guide growth in a favorable direction.

🌿 Key takeaway: Severe early onset curves are not automatically a surgical case.
🎯 With the right strategy, brace + PSSE-Schroth can change the natural history of EOS — and, most importantly, the child’s future.
