Hellenic Society of Head and Neck Cancer The dissemination of knowledge on the different aspects of oral precancerous lesions and head / neck cancers - (HeSHNCA)

Main Goals:

The organization of scientific and educational meetings on head and neck cancers. The development of research activities on tumors of the head and neck. The promotion of the knowledge for the oropharyngeal cancers related to the Human-Papillomavirus (HPV) and the role of HPV vaccine for the treatment and prevention of these cancers. The promotion of guidelines for the maintenance of oral health, in collaboration with the Hellenic Society of Oral Oncology – HSOO and the Study Groups for Mucositis, Oral Care and Bone of the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer/ International Society of Oral Oncology-MASCC/ISOO. The contribution to the National project for the development of the National Cancer Registry for Head and Neck Cancers.

ΕΕΚΚΕΤ at MAKESENSECAMPAIGN – Heads Up / 2024

Πραγματοποιήθηκε με επιτυχία η Ημερίδα για τον Καρκίνο Κεφαλής & Τραχήλου, στις 19 Σεπτεμβρίου 2024, στο Μουσείο Ιστορίας του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών.

Η δράση οργανώθηκε στο πλαίσιο της δράσης MAKESENSECAMPAIGN και της Ευρωπαϊκής εβδομάδας ενημέρωσης, πρόληψης και έγκαιρης διάγνωσης του Καρκίνου Κεφαλής & Τραχήλου.
Το κεντρικό σύνθημα φέτος, στην Ευρώπη είναι: η εξίσωση της φροντίδας στον καρκίνο:Equal Access, Equal Care: Uniting Europe Against Head and Neck Cancer.

Παρουσιάστηκαν

η συμμετοχή των ασθενών στο σχεδιασμό των κλινικών μελετών, κα Ζωή Γραμματόγλου, Πρόεδρο του Κ.Ε.Φ.Ι.

η πρωτοπόρος Κλινική (cancer survivors clinic) για την υποστήριξη των ατόμων με ιστορικό καρκίνου, Καλλιόπη Καλαϊτζή

ο εμβολιασμός ενάντια στον HPV, Γεώργιος Ψυχογιός

η ανάγκη της εξίσωσης των ανισοτήτων στον καρκίνο Κεφαλής & Τραχήλου-πρόγραμμα SymbIASIS, Ουρ. Νικολάτου-Γαλίτη, και

οι σύγχρονες μέθοδοι ακτινοθεραπείας και η μείωση της τοξικότητας,
