In 2024, our commitment took shape through our contribution to the creation of the first Ronald McDonald House Charities Greece Family Room at “Agia Sophia” Children’s Hospital in Athens, a dedicated space where families of hospitalized children can rest, recharge, and find moments of peace while staying close to their little ones. Αnd our commitment continues in 2025, as we stand by these families with even more care and support.
As part of this ongoing support, a group of 20 Pharmathen volunteers from our Attica and Alexandroupoli sites visited the Family Room to share smiles with children, their families, and the nursing staff.
From scooping ice cream to sharing smiles, our volunteers helped create a day filled with warmth and care, a small act of kindness that reflects our long-term commitment to making a difference where it truly matters.

At , we believe in supporting people through meaningful action.
That’s why we contributed to the creation and ongoing care of the first Ronald McDonald House Charities Greece Family Room at “Agia Sophia” Children’s Hospital, a space where families of hospitalized children can pause, breathe, and feel supported, even for a little while.
Since opening, the Family Room has welcomed hundreds of families, offering 228 overnight stays for 684 families and 277 daytime visits. It provides a calm, supportive environment just steps from their child’s bedside, a lifeline especially for families from remote areas or those facing financial hardship, whose children are battling health issues.
We remain committed to initiatives that bring real comfort and care to those in need.

Love in action, giving with heart – that's the spirit of this year’s Week of Love and Giving at Pharmathen.
This year, we broadened our impact by hosting four charity bazaars across all our locations. Through these efforts, we helped fulfill a child’s wish through Make-A-Wish Greece (Κάνε-Μια-Ευχή Ελλάδος), supported ΑΜΥΜΩΝΗ and 40 children and adults with visual impairments and additional disabilities at the Irida Day Center by providing educational materials, contributed to the operational expenses of the Day Center for Persons with Disabilities in Thrace, operated by Παιδικά Χωριά SOS - SOS Children's Villages Greece and contributed to the invaluable work of Το Χαμόγελο του Παιδιού - The Smile of the Child.
We also joined forces with Humanity Greece, rolled up our sleeves and took action - on the ground, in the kitchen, and in the community.
In just two days, 50 volunteers prepared 340 warm meals for people in need. A true testament to the power of compassion, teamwork, and solidarity. 🙌🍲
