Ιατρείο Ψυχικής Υγείας Γυναικών - Women's Mental Health Clinic

Το ειδικό ιατρείο ψυχικής υγείας γυναικών (Ε.Ι.Ψ.Υ.Γ.) λειτουργεί από το 2003 στην Α΄ Ψυχιατρική Κλινική του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών στο Αιγινήτειο Νοσοκομείο. Αντικείμενο της επιστημονικής μελέτης του είναι κυρίως η ειδική γνώση, έρευνα και εκπαίδευση σε θέματα της Περιγεννητικής Ψυχιατρικής. Είναι το πρώτο Τμήμα Ψυχικής Υγείας Γυναικών που συστάθηκε και λειτούργησε στην Ελλάδα και στοχεύει στην πρόληψη και στην θεραπεία των ψυχικών δυσκολιών που μπορεί να παρουσιαστούν στην αναπαραγωγική φάση του ατόμου, με έμφαση την γυναίκα, ή προϋπάρχουν και επηρεάζουν το άτομο ή το ζευγάρι σ΄ αυτή την φάση της ζωής του. The Women's Mental Health and Perinatal Psychiatry Clinic in Athens, Greece, is a mental health center that specializes in the evaluation and treatment of psychiatric disorders across the female reproductive cycle. The center is located at Eginition Hospital at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Medical School. It was founded in 2003, is directed by Associate Professor Iannis M. Zervas, MD, and it is staffed by psychiatrists, psychologists and therapists associated with the Department of Psychiatry and the Psychotherapy center at Eginition Hospital. The center offers clinical and consultation services and is performs educational and research activities in relation to reproductive psychiatry (biological and psychological aspects), anxiety and depression in women, and focused psychotherapies (IPT, CBT, Schema therapy, etc.)
