Με μεγάλη επιτυχία διοργανώθηκε από το σύλλογο Antiparos En Plo για δεύτερη χρονιά, το διήμερο επίσκεψης στην Αντίπαρο της ιατρικής ομάδας “Διγενής Ακρίτας” στις 20 και 21 Απριλίου 2018.
Η δράση περιελάμβανε:
- Ιατρείο Καρδιολόγου
- Ιατρείο Γαστρεντερολόγου
- Ιατρείο Ορθοπεδικού
- Ιατρείο Παιδιάτρου
- Ιατρείο Ρευματολόγου
- Ιατρείο Γυναικολόγου
- Ιατρείο Ενδοκρινολόγου
- Ιατρείο Ψυχολόγου
- Ιατρείο Οδοντιάτρου
- Ιατρείο Ουρολόγου
- Ιατρείο Νευρολόγου
- Τμήμα Yπερήχων άνω-κάτω κοιλίας
- Τμήμα Υπερήχων Μαστού
- Τμήμα Υπερήχων Θυρεοειδή
- Τμήμα Χειρουργικό
Συνολικά εξετάστηκαν 530 άτομα.
Παράλληλα, υπήρξε ομιλία ενημέρωσης για γονείς και εφήβους σχετικά με το άγχος στα παιδιά και τους εφήβους και ελεύθερη συζήτηση για την διαχείριση του στρες.
Ευχαριστούμε θερμά το Δήμος Αντιπάρου και την ΚΕΔΑ όπου και παρείχε τα δυο γεύματα όλων των γιατρών.
Επίσης, ευχαριστούμε το Δημοτικό Σχολείο, το Γυμνάσιο, το Φαρμακείο για τη δωρεάν διάθεση αναλώσιμων, την επιχείρηση Oliaros Tours για την παραχώρηση του πούλμαν και τον οδηγό που μας διέθεσε, τη κοινοπραξία των ferry boats για τη βοήθεια και τη στήριξη στην ενέργεια αυτή, το Akrogiali Studios & Rooms, την επιχείρηση Sunday Hotel Antiparos και την επιχείρηση Thalasea studios & apartments
Τέλος, ευχαριστούμε θερμά τη Ζαμπιώ Καστανιά και την Αρσενία Πατέλη που ανταποκρίθηκαν στο κάλεσμά μας για τα κεράσματα, όσους πρόσφεραν τσικουδιά καθώς και τους εθελοντές για την υποστήριξή τους.
Η επιτυχία της δράσης δεν θα ήταν δυνατή χωρίς την ενέργεια των τόσο φιλικών, εργατικών εθελοντών ιατρών.

For the second year running, the Antiparos En Plo society organized a two-day visit by the Digenis Akritas volunteer medical team to our island, to examine the local population. The event, held on 20 and 21 April 2018, was deemed a great success.
The event included separate clinics run by specialists in the following areas:
- Cardiology
- Gastroenterology
- Orthopaedics
- Paediatrics
- Rheumatology
- Gynaecology
- Endocrinology
- Psychology
- Dentistry
- Urology
- Neurology
The event also included separate departments run by specialists in the following areas:
- Upper and Lower Abdomen Ultrasound
- Breast Ultrasound
- Thyroid Ultrasound
- General Surgery
A total of 530 patients were examined.
Parallel to this, the visiting psychologist provided an information session aimed at parents and young people that dealt with the topic of stress experienced by children and young people, which was followed by an open discussion on stress management.
We would like to warmly thank The Municipality of Antiparos and KEDA (the municipal public benefit enterprise), which funded the medical team’s evening dinner on both nights.
In addition, we would like to thank the Primary School and the Secondary School for providing their facilities, the Pharmacy for offering medical consumable supplies free of charge, Oliaros Tours for supplying their bus and driver services free of charge to transport the medical team, the Ferry Boat Consortium for covering the cost of the crossing from and to Paros, as well as Akrogiali Studios & Rooms, Sunday Hotel Antiparos and Thalasea studios & apartments.
Finally, we would also like to warmly thank Ms Zambio Kastania and Ms Arsenia Pateli for responding to our call and offering some homemade baked goods for the members of the medical team, as well as all those who kindly offered tsikoudia. Last, but not least, a big thank you to all of the volunteers for their support during the course of the visit.
It goes without saying that none of this would have been possible in the first place – let alone the event being a success – without the efforts of the extremely friendly, hard-working doctors comprising the medical team. These volunteers took time out from their busy schedules to help cover the medical needs of people living on a remote island, as is ours.
