An epic battle unfolded.
The year is T.A. 1975 in the fields between Nenuial and Fornost.
After the fall of Fornost and the disappearance of the last king of Atherdain of Arnor Averdui had disappeared the great fleet of Gondor has arrived to Lindon. Cirdan and Aranath gather every able Man remnants of Arnor, Elf and even a small contingent of Hobbits and together with the armies of Gondor under Prince Earnur march towards Fornosts.
The Witch king made the mystake to meet them on open field hoping to drive them back hastily gathering his forces consisting of rvery foul beast like wargs, orcs, hill trolls werewolves and fallen men from Carn Dum and matching them ahead. But his lieutenants didn't noticed that the Gondor Cavalry is not present in the battle.
The battle starts with the Host of the West being deployed on a defensive formation ready to meet in battle the Host of Witch King. The Gondor artillery together with the hobbit, men and elven archers start to pound upon the hordes that coming towards them.
The long march apparently had cause them to be tired (really bad rolls) when they meet in hand to hand combat the soldiers of the Host of Witch King fall easily by the blades of the Host of the West.
The battle continues until the moment the gondor Cavalry arrives having moved around the hills and appears from the north with Prince Earnur at the head. Moments (one round later) a new host appears from the East, the reinforcements from Rivendell with Glorfindel at the head.
At this moment the Witch King himself appears with the last few remnants of his already crumbling army.
The battle continues and the Witch King is charged by Glorfindel himself and Earnur follows. In the duels the follows the Witch King Himself is slain and apparently "Now is his doom, and by the hand of man he fell". Witch King is dead and the game is over.
The game was 3000pts vs 3000pts
The lists that was used were:
Homebrew Host of Witch King (official list + Hill trolls)
Homebrew Host of the West (Battle of Fornost + Trebuchets, Arnor Rangers, Arnor Captains, Arnor Warriors, Arnor Knighs, Rivendell knigths)
There were a few special rules:
1)Gondor Cav was allowed to be included only at Earnur's Warband that would arrive from the north and Rivendell knigths only in the warband of Glorfindel that would arrive from the east both warbands as reinforcements.
2)Earnur warband could arrive as reinforcement from round 2 and after, Glorfindel could arrive as reinforcement only after Earnur has arrived and Witch King only after Glorfindel had arrived and he was coming as reinforcement from the North.
