Shiatsu is a non invasive therapy originating from Japan. Based on the provisions of the European Union, it belongs to complementary health treatments. It has spread in many parts of the world and is used as a complementary technique like physiotherapy.
It uses a combination of kneading, pressing, tapping and stretching techniques. These gentle techniques aim to reduce tension and re energise the body. 
Shiatsu works with the body's energy flow, known as Ki or Qi.
According to shiatsu specialists disruption to this energy flow can cause illness and disease.
Like acupuncture, shiatsu claims to free blockages to the energy flow (Ki) and restore energy to areas where it is low. A shiatsu specialist does this by pressing on or stretching points on your body that lie along the lines of energy called meridian channels.
Shiatsu stimulates the circulation of your blood, helps to release toxins and tension from your muscles, and stimulates your hormonal system. It helps to lift your mood and make you feel relaxed.

Shiatsu offers a wide range of physical, mental, and emotional benefits, including alleviating stress, anxiety, and muscle tension, improving circulation and lymphatic drainage, reducing headaches and digestive problems, and restoring energy levels. It promotes a sense of relaxation and supports the body's natural healing processes.

In japanese Shiatsu means "finger pressure". It uses stretching and pressing technique and is performed without oils, through light and comfortable clothing. A Shiatsu therapist applies varied and rhythmic pressure on precise points of the body. These points are called acupressure points and are considered essential for the flow of our body`s vital energy, known as Qi. The aim is to heal common ailments and correct imbalances in the body. The pressure applied promotes energy flow and aims to amend these disharmonies

A session lasts 60 minutes.

Feet, even if apparently are very distant, have a big importance for everyone. According to the ancient Taoists, ‘washing the feet’ is useful both for personal hygiene and to increase blood circulation and clear ideas. Foot Massage combined with Shiatsu and Reflexology is a good choice to treat fatigue of the lower limbs but also the whole body, as it is a holistic method of relief.
