The space
This is a well-known friendly and quite residential area, and everyone is welcome. One double bed on the loft ( the stairs might not be sutable for old aged people), an d a extra sofa bed with a proper single bed mattress on the main floor. The loft apartment is a warm artistc place (not temperature wise – it’s 45cm thick stone walls keep the heat out). It has a very tall ceiling, a 38 sqm chicken-living room and 11 sqm wooden loft with a double bed (new matress) and desk office, small nice designed kourasanit bathroom (shower not bathtub), and large 2.25m tall windows. The handmade sofa has a proper bed mattress and is/turns into a single bed. It is a 15-20min walk (or 3min bus) to the only beach in town and a 258.000sq.m coast forest/garden with paths and a hidden beach. If you plan on renting a car to see the rest of the island, there are many parking seats (free) on the streets around. Interaction with guests
Apart from enjoying our home, we are more than willing to take you abit of the typical tourist path. Corfu is a magical nostalgic place with many secrets! We will point many of them out on pen and papper with proper notes and directions. From the airport ιt is a οn the doorstep less than 5min taxi drive. There will be someone home to hand you over the keys (propebly me or Natali), and show you around. If there is anything you need during your stay, we live close by, and will be available. Apart from being in the center of Corfu town, on the south edge of venetian old town and spianada square, with many things to enjoy and see, a few good reasons for staying here:
• The only beaches in Corfu town are outside the center, on this side of town, a walk away. One organized with restaurant, and one paradise beach hidden in the Mon Repo.
• Nature. Its near by a beautiful 258. 000sq.mtrs forest/garden. Quite walking paths, places to relax or swim. This is where the hidden beach is.
• Next to doorstep bus stop to a great open to public swimming pool-bar. The only one in town. Not many know this. (Details further down).
• Anything you need for home is around the corner plus a few great places for eating and drinking – well known to locals- with beautiful landscapes. (Details further down)
• Especially in night time, it is quite! (Tip: This cozy loft is 150m from the sea and one of the predominant beautiful landmarks of town, that you don’t easily find in a guide, the curved 1,5 kilometer bay of Garitsa. A favorite gathering point where locals walk up and down during the late afternoon and summer nights, enjoying the remarkable site, taverns and seafood there (will inform you witch ones), with the view of the old fortress on one side, and the graphical view of stone pier with a windmill and small wooden fishing boats, on the other. Also a great place for that morning sunrise jogging if you like to exercise. The only organized beach in town is at the end of the bay)

• Supermarket and the only 24-hour kiosk-mini market in town.
• Recommended bakery with fantastic delights and grocery store with local products.
• Bank-ATM, pharmacy
• Taxi station and post office.
• Corner bus stop to beaches and Corfu island major attraction, the mouse island.
• A four court tennis club on the next block
• 3-4min walk to spianada square for shopping
• 500metre to central bus station to any area of Corfu island
Beaches and places to swim:
• Mon Repo beach: Organized (sandy). Convenient for families. 1.5km, 15 min walk, 3min bus ride-every 20min. Bus stop at the end of the street.
• The hidden beach in the paradise forest/garden that mostly locals enjoy. Not organized. A beautiful easy path (wide, clean, in a good condition) 15 min through the forest/garden of the royal gardens. Tip: Best in the morning and late afternoon. The colors of its diverse nature go wild. To the garden entrance: 1,3km 15 min walk, 3min bus ride-every 20min. Bus stop at the end of the street.
• Swimming Pool Bar: 8min bus ride. Every 20min. Bus stop at the end of the street. Open to public at a holiday resort. Just order a coffee, soft drink or anything. Reasonable prices. Breathtaking view, overlooking the sea and mouse island! Here you can book a spa. Apart from enjoying our home, we are willing to slightly take you off the typical “tourist” path, and live like a local. Corfu town is a magical nostalgic place with many secrets hidden in it.
