The Arts and Psychotherapy Center was founded in 1988 by a group of mental health professionals. Its legal status is a non profitable Scientific Society, a member of the the Federation of Non Governmental Organizations (HEFENGO) and the International Development Cooperation (I.D.C) with the purpose of research, application and dissemination of Art as a way of expression, evolution and therapeutic
help. APC is a member of the Federation of Voluntary Non Governmental Organisations of Greece. It’s intent is to contribute in wider humanitarian actions with large groups of population in crisis, due to natural destructions, conflicts or economical distress, and, in the support and development of mental health that creativity offers. The Center has developed activities in several areas, such as immediate relief for children and adults through art, education, specialist staff and teachers of other subjects in Art Psychotherapy , providing expertise to various public agencies to organize group Art Therapy. Furthermore, the Center has participated in different EU projects and is aiming at further expanding its experience in this field. We are interested to participate in programs concerning life long learning projects, e – learning projects and in general initiatives concerning Art Therapy and:
