🫀 Global Longitudinal Strain (GLS) offers a more sensitive assessment of LV systolic function than ejection fraction alone, helping identify myocardial dysfunction before EF declines.

Normal GLS is typically more negative than -18% to -20%, with values closer to zero suggesting impaired function.
