The earth burns.
The land cracks.
The animals run with no place to go.
The people watch their skies turn red,
breathing in the ash of what once was home.
In this heat, we remember:
We are not separate from the trees that fall,
nor from the rivers that dry,
nor from the fox or the swallow that no longer sings.
Our mantras rise from the smoke:
Breathe for those who cannot breathe.
Stand for the roots that cannot stand.
Cry for the waters that cannot cry.
We close our eyes not to turn away,
but to see more clearly:
the hands that can plant,
the hearts that can heal,
the minds that can change.
Meditation is not escape
it is entering the fire of truth:
that the earth is not here to be owned,
but to be honored.
We breathe in grief.
We breathe out resolve.
May the flames that burn today
light the path toward protection,
toward a way of living where
no animal flees in terror,
no forest becomes a funeral pyre,
no summer sky turns to smoke.
This is the work of our lifetime.
This is the change we must become.
Our meditation, practices, prayers, karma yoga breath mind and heart goes out to all in the collective suffering and in need.
earth, animals, land & people 🪬
May we all rise wiser from this.
