🎉 Project approved!
We are happy to share that our project Game Design for Education has been officially approved by the Erasmus+ National Agency in Greece –: Ίδρυμα Κρατικών Υποτροφιών/ State Scholarships Foundation 🇬🇷🇪🇺

As coordinators, we will lead this exciting journey to create a practical handbook with experiential methodologies, strategies, and real examples to help educators and designers adapt and design games for education. 🎲📚

The project will also highlight inclusion and diversity, giving visibility to underrepresented voices in game design – including women, LGBTQ+ creators, educators in rural areas, and trainers working with people with intellectual disabilities. 🌍✨

Green Chef culinary education game was presented to gamers in Romania in order to test its workings, and they share our activity!

The game is part of the "GreenChef: Gamifying sustainable cooking and environmental education" project of the Erasmus+ Programme with code 2023-2-HU01-KA210-VET-000181362 with HRC Culinary Academy and coordination of Climate Smart Elephant.

🎲🌍 From Ideas to Playtesting – Our Board Game Journey Begins! 🌱📦

At Dracon Rules Design Studio, we believe in the power of games to transform learning - and we’re thrilled to share the progress of our latest Erasmus+ adventure: Co-Create EcoTrade!

We’re co-developing an innovative educational board game that introduces students and young people to the world of sustainable international trade - all through collaborative play and hands-on learning.

Over the past few months, our dedicated international team has been:
🧠 Co-designing core mechanics that make learning fun
📄 Crafting rules and scenarios rooted in real-world trade challenges
🎨 Illustrating cards, tokens & maps to bring global trade to life
🌍 Working across borders to create an impactful and inclusive learning tool

🚨 And now… it’s Alpha testing time!
Each partner, including us here in Greece 🇬🇷, will organize local testing sessions with trainers and students to gather feedback and fine-tune the next version of the game — set to launch this autumn 🍂.

📍 EcoTrade LTTA 1 – Co-Creation International Workshop | Karditsa, Greece

Over four dynamic days, our team hosted the first Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity of the EcoTrade Erasmus+ project here in Karditsa!

🎯 The goal? To collaboratively design a board game that brings international trade and eco-conscious decision-making to life for VET students.

Throughout 4 dynamic working days, we explored:
💼 Sustainable production & logistics
🎯 Game-based learning in VET
♻️ Ecological trade decisions and green transport
🎲 Designing game mechanics
🧩 Prototyping cards, boards, and rules
💬 Exchanging feedback and ideas
🌄 …and even experienced cultural heritage through a visit to Meteora, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site!
🍽️ A traditional dinner in Xinoneri, a picturesque village near Karditsa – a beautiful moment to connect with Greek hospitality, Thessalian food, and local community spirit.

🌄 We also took a cultural break with a team-building excursion to Meteora – a unique opportunity to connect beyond the classroom.

Thank you to all the passionate participants who brought energy, creativity, and commitment to this important step of the project! 🙌

⁉️ Did you know that only 1 in 5 children in Europe can name more than 3 marine species? 🐟🐠🦈

🌊That’s why we’re proud to be part of the TeachBlue , an Erasmus+ project, bringing marine and ocean literacy into early childhood education through creativity and play!

📚 Our team is working hand in hand with early childhood experts and educators to ensure the game is inclusive, research-based, and ready to inspire curiosity about the wonders of our oceans.

🐠We’re thrilled to be leading the creative development of the TeachBlue educational board game - one of the core tools in the Erasmus+ TeachBlue project aimed at boosting ocean literacy among early learners (ages 4–8).

The game design process is currently underway, blending storytelling, visual design, and marine science into an exciting, symbol-based adventure suitable for all children.

🎁 The board game will be launched soon as part of a complete, future-forward TeachBlue Toolkit, which will also include:
📘 A Teacher’s Curriculum & Handbook
🧭 A Guide to Educational Activities (classroom + outdoor)
🎥 360° Underwater Videos

Together, these resources aim to equip educators with everything they need to introduce children to the beauty, challenges, and science of our seas - all in line with SDG 14: Life Below Water. 🌊💙

Dracon had the honor to attend the conference organized with success by CJRAE Arad which presented great interest. A great many speeches, including one from our friends at Challedu .

On the second day, members of CJRAE presented the game JOYFUL, which was created within the folds of the Erasmus Plus Programme, with project code 2023-2-DE02-KA210-ADU-000178079, the coordination of Comparative Research Network and the participation of Dracon Rules Design Studio and Asociatia Share Education .
