🎲🏉 GAME2GROW has officially entered the field! 🚀🇪🇺

On 7–8 May 2026, Dracon Rules Design Studio joined Rugby Guidonia Montecelio ASD in Rome 🇮🇹 for the Kick-off Transnational Project Meeting of our new Erasmus+ project:

During these two days, we worked together on the foundations of the project:
🎯 project objectives and next steps
🏉 the connection between rugby values and game-based learning
🎲 the first ideas for the educational board game
🤝 co-creation methods with young people
📣 dissemination, evaluation, and future activities

GAME2GROW is about giving young people real-life skills — not only information. 💡
Through rugby, board games, storytelling, and teamwork, we aim to create inclusive learning experiences where young people can develop:

💬 communication
💪 resilience
🧠 creativity
🤝 cooperation
🌍 inclusion

For Dracon RDS, this project is an exciting new challenge: bringing our experience in educational board game design 🎲 into dialogue with sport-based learning 🏉.

Because sometimes learning happens on the field. 🏟️
Sometimes around a table. 🎲
And sometimes when people from different countries decide to build something meaningful together. 🇬🇷🇮🇹

Dracon RDS leads a consortium on the creation of a handbook for game designers and educators, which aims to provide examples on game design and game design for inclusion, socialization, education through real examples and case studies to accompany the theory.

To do so, the partners conducted a serries of surveys (online and in person) to gather information on the opinions and expectations of members of the target group.

One of them signified the project's kick-off, and was held at the very beginning of the project, in December 2025, during AthensCon of 2025.

Soon, the project reaches another milestone as the work has progressed.

Ανακοίνωση θέσεων Erasmus+ (επαγγελματίες/ερασιτέχνες σχεδιαστές επιτραπέζιων παιχνιδιών)

Η Dracon Rules Design Studio διαχειρίζεται το σχέδιο GDE – Game Design for Education με κωδικό 2025-1-EL01-KA210-VET-000357836 του προγράμματος Erasmus+. Το σχέδιο έχει ως σκοπό τη δημιουργία ενός εγχειριδίου για το σχεδιασμό επιτραπέζιων παιχνιδιών, με περισσότερη έμφαση στα παιχνίδια-εργαλεία στην εκπαίδευση, κοινωνικοποίηση, συμπερίληψη.

Στις 15-16-17-18 Ιουνίου 2026 θα πραγματοποιηθεί διακρατική συνάντηση στη Λισαβώνα της Πορτογαλίας, με σκοπό την πειραματική χρήση των περιεχομένων του εγχειριδίου και στόχο τη βελτίωσή του και την έναρξη της διαδικασίας ολοκλήρωσης.

Η Dracon ανοίγει πρόσκληση για δύο (2) θέσεις για σχεδιαστές παιχνιδιών που θα συμμετέχουν στο ταξίδι (πτήσεις 14 & 19 Ιουνίου). Η τελική επιλογή θα γίνει από την Dracon βάσει και κριτηρίων συμπερίληψης, ισότητας, στήριξης και άλλων.

Call for Erasmus+ slots (professional or aspiring board game designers)

Dracon Rules Design Studio is managing the GDE – Game Design for Education project (project code 2025-1-EL01-KA210-VET-000357836) under the Erasmus+ program. The project aims to create a handbook for board game design, with a greater emphasis on games as tools for education, socialization, and inclusion.

On June 15–16–17–18, 2026, a transnational meeting will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, with the aim of experimentally applying the handbook’s contents to improve it and begin the finalization process.

Dracon accepts applications for two (2) positions for game designers to participate in the trip (flights on June 14 & 19). The final selection will be made by Dracon based on criteria of inclusion, equality, support, and others.

Discussions with caregivers, trainers, volunteers of persons with Intellectual disability on all topics; including their needs, their wishes, and problems they face, in addition to discussing their viewpoint and experience on the conducted activities with their wards.

One World - Discussions with the supporters of persons with Intellectual Disability

The main event of the course and the culmination of the project's efforts is the hands-on testing activities in real conditions. Our participants created games for people with Intellectual Disability based on the discussions with the specialists, psychologists, trainers, authorities, and last but not least, the caregivers (family members) of persons with Intellectual Disability.

OneWorld - Specialist Course

What is "One World"? Version: People!

An Eramus+ KA1 project co-funded by the European Union, where our volunteers were able to discuss in practice the details of the educational process of people with Intellectual Disability.

This activity was part of the experiential course "Strategies to optimize learning for people with Intellectual Disabilities" organized by Asociatia Share Education in Arad, Romania.

The participants attended sessions with Integra Arad Ong, where they were able to test the games they created during the theoretical and hands-on sessions. The interaction with the wards of Integra was the culmination of the project's course, where the participants combined all the knowledge and experience gathered by discussing with experts, parents, psychologists, volunteers, trainers.

The last piece of information was gathered during this meeting: the measure of success of their efforts. The participants received feedback with the help of the voluteers of Integra, who translated what the persons with Intellectual disability felt about playing the games.

In addition, the participants held valuable round table discussions with parents and guardians of people with intellectual disability, receiving their feedback on the functionality of the drafted games, their satisfaction with both the potential uses as well as with their wards' response and feelings during the game sessions.

Each and every participant of Dracon expressed their thanks and gratitude to Integra for agreeing to have our group during their activities of this week. Thank you Integra!

🎉 It’s ready! Green Chef culinary education game is officially complete. 🎉

After months of design, testing, playtesting, and refinement, the GreenChef board game is ready to be used as an educational tool in classrooms, workshops, and VET settings.

🧑‍🍳🎲 GreenChef combines board-game mechanics with learning about:
🌱 sustainable cooking
🥕 plant-based ingredients
🌍 the environmental impact of food choices

At Dracon Rules Design Studio, we focused on making learning hands-on, engaging, and discussion-driven — turning sustainability into something you can play, explore, and talk about.

The game was developed within the Erasmus+ GreenChef project, in collaboration with partners from 🇭🇺 Hungary, 🇧🇬 Bulgaria, and 🇬🇷 Greece, and is designed to support educators, trainers, and learners alike.
