February is tree-planting season... and in Africa there is much progress in the great GREEN wall of trees. Sustainability and growth IS possible. Next time you eat your cherries, peaches, or gather acorns, throw it into the soil. The birds, the winds, and the rains may help it 'grow' with a little luck. Or take time, Think of what you can offer and join a group to help plant trees.
Johnny Appleseed, born in 1774, was an American pioneer nurseryman who introduced apple trees to large parts of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and present-day Ontario, as well as the northern counties of present-day West Virginia.
