Bronze medal for our Greek Men’s Water Polo Team! Following a devastating last-second semifinal defeat, the whole team came back with persistence and resilience to proudly reach the podium! It’s a great honor to be working as a federal sport psychologist for the Hellenic Swimming Federation and the Men’s & Women’s Water Polo teams! Together with colleagues from the Lab of Exercise Psychology and Quality of Life we shape one of its kind applied collaboration preparing the Olympic athletes for the 2025 World Championships in Singapore and ultimately Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games 🙏🏼

Excited to present this Saturday, November 2nd at 9:00 at the 1st Panhellenic Conference for Professionals in Sport & Exercise in Trikala.

This time around is about coaching style behaviors. Is the autonomy-supportive style where coaches engage in dialogues with their athletes, recognize their thoughts & emotions and plan together the way forward?

Certainly the new generation of young athletes want to know the WHY (am I doing this task, what is the purpose?)

Happy to share research findings and professional experiences from my work with athletes & coaches!

It’s inspiring to share insights with colleagues and master students regarding sport psychology and my applied work.

This time was in a lecture format at the European Master / MSc Sport & Exercise Psychology (the base of my PhD candidacy) in Trikala, Greece. I presented the topic of Psychological Skills Evaluation and offered a live demo of Arousal Regulation through biofeedback training and imagery.

Sidenote: I truly appreciate the interaction with students and our dialogue about what comes next in our field 🙏🏼
