Walking through life can have ups and downs, moments of joy and trepidation. In the Buddhist tradition of Mindfulness philosophy one is taught to remain balanced through it all. Anxiety, self-doubt, low confidence and rumination cause stress in our minds and bodies. All of those are created by our thought patterns and with guidance and training they can be changed. I think of our unchanging thoughts as well worn goat paths in our minds. Paths we take often and with routes we always follow. Using mindfulness practices we can change the paths to new green pastures, with joy and calm and self-understanding in them. We can create a whole new set of pathways through our lives filled with gratitude, creativity and a sense of being awake and able to respond rather than react.Mindfulness is a superpower!
