Winter sometimes seems to last FOREVER and can be a love/hate relationship.

💗Love the stillness of a crisp morning, the untouched snow on trees, and winter sports. 😵‍💫But the winter blahs can get tiresome.

There's a few more weeks to endure, and a burst of winter happy 😄 is easily available.

For a fresh winter pick-me-up:
🌞 Aromatherapy can help with mods and the body's internal clock. Try basil, peppermint, lemon, rose or clary sage essential oils
🌞 Take a vacation. It doesn't have to be anything major or in the Caribbean, even a full day getaway out of your town can break up the mundane. If you can't take a vacation now, start planning one. It'll give your mind something to be excited about.
🌞 Do some journaling. It helps to prioritize concerns, identify triggers, and lift your mood. Include at least 3 things you are grateful for and why you are grateful for them.

Enjoy the next few weeks. Spring will bring a whole new perspective.

Fresh snow ❄️ is beautiful and powdery and brings back memories of snow angels and building a snowman⛄️while dressed in every article of winter gear. You've seen the movie A Christmas Story. You get the idea!

It was a fun time as a kid, but can be different on our bodies as we get older.

Shorter days in winter and weather changes can affect energy, disrupt hormones, and alter feelings of well-being.

Winter doesn't have to be a sentence to months of misery. 🥶

There are things you can do to increase energy and bring back your smile:

🌞 Phototherapy boxes give off light to act like sunshine
🌞 Dawn simulators are like alarm clocks that produce gradually increasing light
🌞 Get moving! Indoor or outdoor exercise stimulates the flow of energy and releases endorphins

As a Floridian, it's been easy for me to overlook how winter may affect people in other areas.

Over the last few weeks, I have ventured out to other states and climates and had a taste of winter again.

I can appreciate winter's beauty, and I can also remember what it was like growing up in the Midwest (which became the reason I ventured out to Arizona for college).

Winter has its blessings, but can have some drawbacks too.

🥶If you have the winter blues, it is a real thing.

Symptoms can include:
❄️Depression
❄️Tiredness or low energy
❄️Loss of interest in activities
❄️Changes in weight or appetite
❄️Sleeping too much

You don't have to suffer. There are things you can do to get back to the Zenergylife (feelings of calm, peace and energy).

For starters, get out and get social!
🙂 Plan activities with friends and loved ones
🙂 Get outside and get some sunlight around noon when the sun🌞 is the brightest

Sometimes life happens and we have to cancel appointments. I wasn't thrilled at first when my client canceled our session, but later I did a happy dance after we connected.

She canceled because she was handling a situation that was giving her the opportunity to embody the work we've been doing.

She was firm in her beliefs and core values, acted with confidence in a decision she made and released the old pattern of requiring others' approval of her choice to be the parent she desires to be.

She stood her ground, trusted her intuition and made choices that empowered her.

The work works when you work it!!!
