Ashtanga yoga isn’t like fast food. It’s more like a slow-cooked, delicious meal that takes time, dedication, and the right ingredients. No shortcuts, no quick fixes, no “secret backdoor to enlightenment.”
As a teacher, my job isn’t to toss asanas at you like they are on sale. It’s to guide you safely and steadily, making sure every step you take is solid. It’s not about how many postures you do, but how well you understand and embody the practice.
On this Women’s Day, I want to honor all the incredible women in our yoga community and beyond.
You inspire strength, resilience and grace, on the mat and in life. Yoga, much like life, is messy and sweaty, but it is also worth every effort.
To my students: I see your efforts and I’m here for your journey. Let’s focus on the long game, not the insta-worthy pose. Keep showing up, because that’s where the magic happens.✨
Here’s to progress, not perfection. Here’s to dedication, persistence and the beauty of your unique journey.
