Testimonials:
"Back to reality after a wonderful week in Poros on a yoga and pilates retreat. I had the most amazing time. It was an active but relaxing holiday. I took a risk by going on holiday by myself but I never once felt lonely thanks to all the lovely people I met and made friends with.
Thank you Pauline for organising such a brilliant retreat. It was such a joy to be taking your classes again! I loved them! Thank you Sofia for everything! You took good care of us and I felt at home." Doriane
`'Just wanted to thank you for an absolutely lovely holiday, the yoga and Pilates classes were great! I felt really chilled and made some friends as well. I really couldn't say what the best part of the holiday was as the whole experience was great.
Sofia was wonderful she made us all feel very welcome, she is such a lovely lady. I would love to go back to the island sometime." Wendy
"Thomas Carlyle said "He who has health, has hope; and he who has hope, has everything." Thank you Pauline for "everything", I came with Hazel on your retreat with no plan to join in the contortional activities, but having done so under your expert guidance, you have started me down a road of a healthier life and provided hope for even the most rigid and out of shape human." Harris - feeling thankful
"Having never been to Greece we did not know what to expect. We couldn’t have been more delighted. Poros the island is small but perfect and feels safe and friendly. The town/ harbour area is beautiful with some very nice shops, bars and restaurants. The Gellato shop is not to be missed!!
We loved the quietness of the bay where we stayed, looking out from our balcony every morning was such a joy. Petros taverna run by Sophia was ideal and we really didn’t feel the need to venture far from Sophia’s food and hospitality. The food was exceptional. We felt that we were experiencing genuine Greek, home cooked food, and that we were Sophia’s guests rather than her customers. The portions are very generous and fresh. The little super market in the bay was very handy for anything else we needed.
The two evenings out in Poros with the water taxi and cocktails and a delicious meals were really fun evenings out.
We hired E bikes from A local company and they couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly and very trusting!! No deposits needed!! The E bikes allowed us to explore the island with it’s beautiful secluded bays and wooded hills and to pop into Poros town as and when we wanted.
We had a really exciting boat trip around the Island with Bob the local Ski instructor. It was one of the Highlights of my week.
The swimming was glorious and the water was very clear and clam and clean. I enjoy some swimming coaching with Keith which I’m applying to my swimming now that I am home.
Overall I am so glad that we came on this retreat, in some ways it was life changing. I have learnt more about Pilates and yoga, I feel fitter and stronger and I have made lots of new friends. We will definitely be coming back for more XX" Hazel Harris - May Retreat 2017
"The retreat is what you want it to be. I had no expectations and I was completely blown away. Not only did you have two great classes a day from Pauline, but you could also rent pedal bikes, electric bikes or quad bikes, do water sports, visit other Greek islands, explore the town, go shopping, relax on the beach, have a massage, learn to swim, go snorkeling and much more."
"Pauline’s teaching is amazing because it is inclusive. Pauline begun with the basics, breathing, meditation, relaxation and most importantly to listen to your body. Pauline builds each asanas which allows you to push yourself if you can but also makes sure you are aware of where to stop if you have a specific injury etc. My experience of Pauline’s teaching in the UK and Poros is that she wants you, more than anything else, to enjoy the session and to get something out of it."
"Pauline builds on each lesson so that at the beginning the pace is slower to make sure that you understand the asanas and to ensure you have the technique right. As the lessons went by they got a little faster, asanas were put together to show how they flow into each other and she showed you how to take them a little further if you wanted to try."
"There are 3 things that made the holiday really special to me. One was that Pauline and Keith have shared their second home, a place they’ve been visiting for over 20 years and the place where they were married. The second was Sofia and her family who own Petros Taverna. Sofia was perfect, she welcomed us with open arms, she showed us to our apartment, whilst carrying our (quite heavy) suitcases and looked after us for our entire holiday. The third was the FOOD. It was amazing, you could order anything from Sofia’s menu and never be disappointed!" Claire Stewart - May Retreat 2017
