Yolanda Georgiou The Doula Linguist Yolanda Georgiou | Your dedicated Multilingual Doula The birth of my first daughter in 2009 opened up a brand new chapter in my life.

I found myself challenged by my new reality as a mother. I was delighted and relieved to discover a wonderful circle of female perinatal professionals eager to support and encourage me every step of the way. So in 2012 I decided to train as a doula by the Greek Doula Association. I was trained in a variety of topics:
- pregnancy, birth and postpartum training for doulas,
- childbirth education,
- breastfeeding basics
- first aid seminars. And I was certified as a postpartum doula in 2013. From then until a couple of years ago, my involvement as a doula was mostly on a volunteer basis, as I prioritized my own growing family. This experience gave me valuable insight into the needs and preferences of women as they navigate through pregnancy, birth and postpartum to motherhood. That is why since 2021 I have been ready to provide professional perinatal services.
