Meet Vagelis 🦾
Our volunteer from day one🌟

Vagelis was among the first people who wanted to try our bionic hand. His excitement and passion for advanced prosthetics constantly fuel our devotion to democratizing such technologies

We'd like to share some of his words that truly inspired us 💭

- I was born with a right limb loss in 1978 in Athens during times when people with disabilities were treated poorly.
Back when I was a kid at school, I was always left out of gymnastics even though I knew I was the fastest kid around. Was it because of disability taboos? Maybe obsolete ideologies? I’ll never know.
All I know is that these situations created my desire to conquer life and become 2 times European champion. In 2003 at Assen of Netherlands winning a bronze medal with the relay race team, and in 2005 at Espoo of Finland winning the 5th place in the individual speed race at 100m.

We want to thank Vagelis not only for his trust and excitement but for his inspiring attitude as well, which shows to everyone that anything is possible🚀
