🌿Dhāraṇā is the art of holding the flame steady.
In the ancient rituals of Ārati, we offer light to the divine — the flame dances, but our gaze remains fixed upon it.
That moment, when the world fades and only the flame exists, is Dhāraṇā.
It is the still point where focus becomes devotion, where the wandering mind gathers itself and rests in one direction.
Just as in Ārati the flame illuminates the divine outside us, in Dhāraṇā the same flame is turned inward — to light the altar of our own awareness.
