Summer Solstice, a sacred pause in the turning of the earth! When the sun lingers at its highest point, the longest day of the year, a celebration of light. It is no coincidence that this radiant moment in nature is also the International Day of Yoga.
For yoga too is a journey toward the light, not only the outer sun, but the steady flame within. A discipline of clarity, awareness, and balance that helps us align with both the rhythms of the cosmos and the depths of our own being.
In the Iyengar tradition, we honour this day not with spectacle, but with precision, presence, and quiet reverence. Each posture becomes an offering. Each breath, a thread of light.
Tonight at 18:00 we are joining a workshop with the wonderful Randy Just all the way from the US to honour the light above, and the light within.
May we root deep, rise tall,
and carry the light with tenderness!
