«Η ζωή μοιάζει με ένα ταξίδι με τρένο. Αν ανέβεις σε λάθος συρμό, δεν είναι ντροπή να κατέβεις στην επόμενη στάση. Όσο περισσότερο μένεις πάνω, τόσο πιο μακριά θα βρίσκεσαι από τον προορισμό που πραγματικά ήθελες. Το θάρρος δεν είναι να μείνεις στο λάθος, αλλά να κατέβεις και να ψάξεις το σωστό δρομολόγιο.»

Αν νομίζεις ότι δουλεύεις στήθος με αυτή την άσκηση μάλλον είσαι γελασμένος, η συγκεκριμένη άσκηση μόνο στήθος δεν δουλεύει καθώς δεν υφίσταται καμία αντίσταση ενάντια στην προσαγωγή των χεριών, κάτι που είναι μια από τις 3 ενέργειες του στήθους και πιο συγκεκριμένα του μείζων θωρακικού μυ. Αυτό που ενεργοποιείς σε αυτή την άσκηση είναι οι ώμοι σου καθώς η βαρύτητα σε τραβάει προς τα κάτω.

Ιδανικά μπορείς να γυμνάσεις τον μείζων θωρακικό με προσαγωγές χεριών σε τροχαλία ή με αλτήρες σε οριζόντιο ή επικλινή πάγκο για να εκμεταλλευτείς αποτελεσματικά την βαρύτητα και την αντίσταση που σου προσφέρουν.

‼️UPPER BODY FLEXIBILITY IMPROVEMENT‼️

They are saying “hard work pays off” but “quality work” develops you further and makes the difference. Regardless if you train for health, fitness, bodybuilding or other sports range of motion is one of the most important things not only for the performance but for your injury prevention and muscle growth.

With we work the past 2 months and we had a great improvement not only in the body physique but most importantly in upper body flexibility and mobility. Shoulder and thoracic spine ROM was restricted including less ROM in external shoulder rotation (rotator cuff), back extension and ability to move hands overhead something that affected couple of exercises in training for upper and lower body as well.

We targeted stiffness of full body with a mobility & flexibility plan that was essential part of daily training as part of warm up and recovery and we worked together in a specific corrective exercise program for thoracic spine & shoulders to improve our range of motion, increase functionality and rehab. The program contain bodyweight exercises, resistance bands, wooden bars, barbells, fitballs, wall based exercises and SMFR protocols to target the myofascial tissues to release any trigger points that affect the body.

The exercise prescription we designed was based in science base rehabilitation and corrective exercises protocols.

I’m really excited and grateful for my new role in NHS Ayrshire & Arran as an Activity Volunteer in variety of activities & exercise rehabilitation programs across South Ayrshire.

In the early years of my BSc studies I started to be interested with chronic conditions and exercise for rehabilitation and I specialized afterwards with my MSc in Exercise Prevention & Rehabilitation. Since I moved to UK based in Scotland I found everything I was looking for, the delivery and organisation of exercise prescription is outstanding here with great staff and education opportunities 😊💪

Happy and proud to help and be part of it🙏❤️
