In this moment, we’re talking about something at the heart of our practice: how to adapt and adjust poses for different bodies, abilities, and needs. Because yoga isn’t about fitting into a shape — it’s about finding a shape that supports you.

In our training, we explore how to meet students where they are, offer intelligent options, and create a space where everyone feels seen, safe, and empowered on the mat. This is the work behind the scenes that turns a sequence into a meaningful experience.

Teaching yoga is about listening, observing, and honoring the uniqueness of every body. And that’s what we love sharing here 💛

✨ Hatha Yoga Classes ✨

Hatha Yoga is a beautiful, grounding practice that invites us back into balance.

The word Hatha comes from “Ha” (sun) and “Tha” (moon). In the practice of Hatha Yoga, we work to balance these two energies within us:
the right and left sides of the body, the masculine and feminine, and the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.

Through mindful movement, steady postures, and conscious breathing, Hatha Yoga helps us harmonize effort and ease, strength and softness. The breath plays a central role, guiding us inward and supporting a calm, focused state of mind.

In other words, Hatha Yoga is an invitation to find balance in both body and mind, creating space for awareness, presence, and inner stability.

I’m excited to share that we are exploring the possibility of hosting my Ayurvedic teacher and mentor, Dr. Gaurang Joshi, in Crete for a few days in March 2026. Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga, is considered the oldest medical system in the world, and has been attracting interest globally for its holistic approach to health and wellbeing.

Depending on interest, we are considering practical workshops, trainings, and talks (2–6 hours each) on topics such as:�

🌿 Ayurvedic nutrition according to your constitution�
🌺 Hormonal balance (pre-menopause & menopause)�
✨ Healthy skin & hair from the inside out�
🌱 Ayurvedic herbs for everyday health�

Dr. Gaurang Joshi is a senior Ayurvedic physician from India. He runs his own Ayurveda clinic in Gujarat (India) and is the founder of Atharva Global Academy of Ayurveda, an international Ayurveda school. Both his clinic and school are accredited by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, which oversees and regulates Ayurveda and traditional medical systems in India.
He has many years of clinical and teaching experience, working with both preventive and therapeutic approaches of classical Ayurveda.

Makarasana is a deeply restorative prone posture that promotes physical and mental relaxation. It gently releases tension in the lower back and spine, making it especially beneficial after backbends or for people with back fatigue. The pose relaxes the muscles of the shoulders, neck, and chest, supports natural spinal alignment, and encourages diaphragmatic breathing. This enhances lung capacity and calms the nervous system. Therapeutically, makarasana helps reduce stress, fatigue, and anxiety, supports recovery from spinal strain, and is beneficial for people with mild back pain, respiratory tension, or general exhaustion.
