❗️Laser Dentistry Journal – Issue 2/2025 is Now Live!

It is with great pride as an editor to present the second edition of the ISLD/AALZ Laser Dentistry Journal — an issue that marks a historic milestone for our global community.

Only months after the relaunch of our journal, we now celebrate a breakthrough moment:
For the first time ever, the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD) joins ISLD for the upcoming ISLD Dubai 2026 World Congress.
A united global stage for laser dentistry has finally become reality.

This collaboration reflects our shared mission to advance education, science, and clinical excellence in laser dentistry worldwide.

In this issue, you will find clinical cases, research updates, interviews, physics insights, business strategies, and international stories from colleagues shaping the future of our field. Thank you to all authors and contributors for their dedication and excellence.

My deepest gratitude goes to the ISLD EXCO Board, our contributing authors, our industry partners and laser companies, Sigmund Freud University Vienna, with the support of DDr. Wolfgang Manschiebel, our graphic designer Michael Hammerer and of course, Mr. Leon Vanweersch and Dr. Youssef Sedky that walk with me every step of the way to the 20th ISLD World Congress in Dubai.

Άλλο ένα Laser Safety Officer Course ολοκληρώθηκε με επιτυχία! 🎉
Συγχαρητήρια σε όλους τους συναδέλφους που το παρακολουθήσαν και πέτυχαν την πιστοποίησή τους. 👏

Υπενθυμίζουμε πώς είναι το μόνο πιστοποιημένο LASER SAFETY OFFICER COURSE. Η Πιστοποίηση που παρέχεται είναι μέρος του αναγνωρισμένου από την Ε.Ε, MSc in Lasers in Dentistry του Πανεπιστημίου SFU της Βιέννης. Αυτό σημαίνει πως οι επιτυχόντες αν προχωρήσουν σε εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα Mastership ή Master of Science οι διδακτικές ώρες όπως και το κόστος του LSO Course της HALD, αναγνωρίζονται και αφαιρούνται.

The 2025 edition of the AALZ Aachen Dental Laser Center Mastership/Fellowship in Romania has officially begun!

We had the pleasure of welcoming a wonderful new group of laser dentists at the state-of-the-art Expert Medical Center, right in the heart of Bucharest.

Over four dynamic days, participants engaged in intensive theory sessions, hands-on training, live treatments, and completed their exams with impressive dedication.

A heartfelt thank you to Radu Ion Pop and his outstanding team for their flawless organization and warm hospitality—once again, you made everything run seamlessly!

Here’s to another successful chapter in advancing laser dentistry education!

It is with great pride as an editor to introduce the revival of the ISLD/AALZ Laser Dentistry Journal—a dedicated platform for advancing laser dentistry knowledge and innovation.

This achievement is the result of a strong collaboration between ISLD and AALZ, aimed at providing our members with the latest insights in laser dentistry. As the world’s leading laser dentistry organizations, we remain committed to setting the highest standards in education and international congresses.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the ISLD EXCO Board, our contributing authors, laser companies, Sigmund Freud University Vienna—with the support of DDr. Wolfgang Manschiebel—our talented graphic designer Michael Hammerer, and, of course, my co-editor Mr. Leon Vanweersch.

Exciting days in Bucharest. A fully booked Laser Mastership Course with our 11th Batch of colleagues eager to learn and use lasers in their daily practice! Impeccable organization as always by Expert Medical Laser Center, Radu Ion Pop and his fantastic team. Lectures, hands-on skill training, live patient operations and exams made a full experience package for our AALZ Aachen Dental Laser Center participants! Coming up the next module with Dr. Miguel R. Martins and our Batch 12 already again this year which starts on 5th July!
