Ο Dr. Στράκας Δημήτριος είναι διδάκτορας του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης, καθηγητής στο Πανεπιστημιο SFU της Βιέννης και διατηρεί ιατρείο στην πόλη του Βόλου από το 2003. Στο ιατρείο μας παρέχονται υπηρεσίες επανορθωτικής και προσθετικής αποκατάστασης, καθώς και υπηρεσίες αισθητικής. Λόγω της εξειδίκευσης στα οδοντιατρικά laser, το ιατρείο διαθέτει τα πιο σύγχρονα συστήματα laser, για
ένα μεγάλο φάσμα θεραπειών. Επιπλέον, τηρούνται τα υψηλότερα στάνταρ αποστείρωσης και αντισηψίας. Στόχος είναι η διασφάλιση της στοματικής υγείας και της αισθητικής του χαμόγελου των ασθενών μας, προσπαθώντας ταυτόχρονα να διατηρούμε ένα ευχάριστο και φιλικό περιβάλλον.
Ο Δρ. Δημήτρης Στράκας γεννήθηκε στο Βόλο το 1975, όπου και διατηρεί το ιδιωτικό του ιατρείο από το 2003. Αποφοίτησε από το Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης το 2001 και ολοκλήρωσε τις μεταπτυχιακές του σπουδές (Master of Science in Lasers in Dentistry) στο RWTH Πανεπιστήμιο Άαχεν Γερμανίας το 2006. Διατελεί γραμματέας της ISLD (International Society for Laser Dentistry), αντιπρόεδρος της Ελληνικής Ακαδημίας Οδοντιατρικών laser (HALD) και είναι πρώην πρόεδρος του Ευρωπαϊκού τομέα της Παγκόσμιας Ομοσπονδίας laser (WFLD-ED).
Από το 2007 είναι Ακαδημαϊκός συνεργάτης του Aachen Dental Laser Center (AALZ) στο RWTH Πανεπιστήμιο Άαχεν και από το 2009, επιστημονικός διευθυντής του AALZ Greece.
Από το 2017 είναι Διδάκτωρ και Πανεπιστημιακός Υπότροφος στο Εργαστήριο Οδοντικής Χειρουργικής του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης. Από το 2019 είναι επισκέπτης καθηγητής στπο MISR Πανεπιστήμιο του Καΐρου.
Διετέλεσε πρόεδρος της οργανωτικής επιτροπής στο 6ο Πανευρωπαϊκό Συνέδριο Laser που διεξήχθη στη Θεσσαλονίκη το Σεπτέμβριο του 2017. Επίσης αντιπρόεδρος της οργανωτικής επιτροπής στο 16ο Παγκόσμιο Συνέδριο Laser που διεξήχθη στο Άαχεν τον Οκτώβριο του 2018.
Έχει δημοσιεύσει άρθρα σε ελληνικά και διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά πάνω στην οδοντιατρική µε laser. Έχει μεταφράσει στα ελληνικά 3 βιβλία laser οδοντιατρικής και είναι σύμβουλος έκδοσης των επιστημονικών περιοδικών Lasers in Medical Science (Springer), Lasers in Dental Science (Springer) και Lasers (Oemus).
Έχει στο ενεργητικό του δεκάδες ομιλίες σε διεθνή και παγκόσμια συνέδρια.

The 2025 edition of the AALZ Aachen Dental Laser Center Mastership/Fellowship in Romania has officially begun!
We had the pleasure of welcoming a wonderful new group of laser dentists at the state-of-the-art Expert Medical Center, right in the heart of Bucharest.
Over four dynamic days, participants engaged in intensive theory sessions, hands-on training, live treatments, and completed their exams with impressive dedication.
A heartfelt thank you to Radu Ion Pop and his outstanding team for their flawless organization and warm hospitality—once again, you made everything run seamlessly!

❗️Exciting News: The Revival of the Laser Dentistry Journal
It is with great pride as an editor to introduce the revival of the ISLD/AALZ Laser Dentistry Journal—a dedicated platform for advancing laser dentistry knowledge and innovation.
This achievement is the result of a strong collaboration between ISLD and AALZ, aimed at providing our members with the latest insights in laser dentistry. As the world’s leading laser dentistry organizations, we remain committed to setting the highest standards in education and international congresses.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the ISLD EXCO Board, our contributing authors, laser companies, Sigmund Freud University Vienna—with the support of DDr. Wolfgang Manschiebel—our talented graphic designer Michael Hammerer, and, of course, my co-editor Mr. Leon Vanweersch.

Exciting days in Bucharest. A fully booked Laser Mastership Course with our 11th Batch of colleagues eager to learn and use lasers in their daily practice! Impeccable organization as always by Expert Medical Laser Center, Radu Ion Pop and his fantastic team. Lectures, hands-on skill training, live patient operations and exams made a full experience package for our AALZ Aachen Dental Laser Center participants! Coming up the next module with Dr. Miguel R. Martins and our Batch 12 already again this year which starts on 5th July!
