Our incredible friend and partner has been awarded the 𝗣𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗹 𝗪𝘂𝗷 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁, recognizing her outstanding contributions to library science and Guatemalan culture. 🌟

Brenda is the co-founder and program director of , a non-profit organization breaking cycles of poverty through education, health, and development. She also serves on the Board of 𝗔𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 𝗢𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗱 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗮 (𝑂𝑛𝑑𝑎 𝐻𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑡ℎ'𝑠 𝑒𝑥𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑛 𝐺𝑢𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑚𝑎𝑙𝑎), championing accessible healthcare. Inspired by her father’s legacy, Brenda and her family donated land for the future 𝗢𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆—bringing vital care to rural communities.
