We are an off-grid spiritual sanctuary focused on healing, transformation, and empowerment The Mystical Yoga Farm is a transformational retreat center.

We hold space for yoga teacher trainings from SchoolYoga Institute. We are a sustainable farm, community, and retreat center where you can go to fully experience the true tranquility that Lago de Atitlan has to offer. We are tucked in the Jungle at a place where no roads go, beneath the Sacred Grandfather Rock and at the base of San Pedro Volcano. We offer Yoga Teacher Trainings, Group Retreats, Permaculture Design Courses and workshops, Work Trade opportunities or you can just simply come on personal retreat. All are welcome to use our Paddleboards, Kayaks, Temescal (aka Sauna), Yoga spaces, Library and much more. Come visit us and see the unique peace that this place has to offer!

So many of our long term Managers and Volenteers started out their journey here by attending one of our Yoga Teacher Trainings. They fell in love with the land, and with the opportunity to create their own daily yoga practice, and have the chance to regularly share it with the community too 🩷🦋

🦄😻💚Creatures of MYF! Honouring Eli! 🦄😻💚

This week we are honouring our recently departed Operations Manager Eli, who is now on a Peru Pilgrimage. We miss you already Eli 🩷 have a read of his experience living here with us 🥺

“What was suppose to only be a 2 week volunteering experience ended up with me living in total 7 months at the farm, 2 months as a karmic yogi and 5 as the operational manager, and it has been a pure divine blessing.

The life at the farm is really magical. Its a deeply intentional way of living. From taking care of the lands through permaculture and farming to taking care of our spirits through ceremonies, rituals, spiritual practices and an encouragement for inspiring and creative ways of self expression.

The farm breathes of joy, creativity, inspiration, devotion, connection, reverence, transformation, expansion and of course love.

The community is really loving, supporting and inspiring. We share our gifts and talents with eachother. We share our hearts and teachings together. And we have a lot of fun together.

I have grown and learned so much during my time at the farm. How to lead my life in alignment with my hearts inner desire. How to play the guitar, flute, harmonium and djembe. How to be a fire keeper (and wow how much I have learned and transformed through studying and being a loyal servant to the fire.) And so much more. I could go on forever on how deeply beneficial it has been for me staying at the farm.

Its optional of course, but highly recommended to go there and experience its magic in person.

The farm has expanded me deeply and now I walk my path with clarity and purpose. Much thanks to everything that I moved through during my time at the farm.

I can’t wait to be back and continue to deepen my relationship to the sacred lands of Lake Atitlan and Mystical Yoga Farm.”

Long term farmily! Who remembers the original painting from 2010 by the Temezcal?

We are soooo greatful that it was recently lovingly restored by Nessie at ! What a huge difference it’s made, to step into our Sacred Sauna and be greeted by this magical art that had lost its colour and potency after 15 years.

We have art and murals in so many places around the farm because we see it as such an important creative expression. We always have artists in residency, creating new places of beauty and potential pretty much everywhere you look around the Mystical Yoga Farm!

For example, we currently have in residency, and can’t wait to show you all her mystical Alice in Wonderland piece she’s painting on our shop!

Thank you so much for all of the artists that have been part of making the Mystical Yoga Farm the unique place it truly is.

As many of you know, we take September as a rest period at the Farm. This gives our beloved workers a chance to have time off, energetically and physically spruce up the Mystical Yoga Farm, and also a chance for our gardens to pause and regenerate.

Because of this, we don’t have guests staying for this period and have a reduced schedule just for the community members, so we won’t be sharing our schedule again until October!

Thank you for allowing us to breathe and be with the land, and we definitely have a couple of exciting things to share during this month to stay connected with our Farmily around the world, so stayed tuned 😸

😻🦄Creatures of Mystical Yoga Farm!🦄😻

We are bringing back our tradition of showcasing one of our volunteers or staff members each week and sharing more about their lives for you to get to know our Farmily even more!

This week we are wanting to honour our Social Media Manager for the past 6 months who is now leaving us for her pilgrimage to Peru -

“I came here thinking I’d be here for a month, and found home at the lake for the last 2 years”

I was living the dream in New York - growing my marketing agency but always feeling like I had to be ‘on’. Then one day, I sold all my things and bought a one way ticket to Costa Rica. I first heard of the Mystical Yoga Farm at Envision festival, where my whole life changed. After that, I became a certified breathwork facilitator, dove deep into healing, and eventually landed on Lake Atitlán.”

Kora spent the last 6 months as the face behind the MYF Instagram! Using her skills as a story teller, word weaver, and capturer of magical moments- you have her to thank for all the epic posts. Those 6 months not only activated her spiritually, it rewrote her old narratives about who she had to be to be worthy or successful and set her on a new path.

Here, she was able to reconnect to her own magic, deepening her role as a facilitator, teacher and creator of transformation. Whether she’s dodging poisonous caterpillars, writing and directing musicals, leading breathwork retreats or cuddling kittens- Kora is such a loved member of this community!

Now, she is off on her next adventure to Peru on a pilgrimage deepening her relationship with watchuma- which was inspired by her favorite moments and memories of being in ceremony and singing around the fire with Jah and Sunny at MYF!

She is off now with a greater remembrance of who she is and why shes here: to breathe, create and reconnect with the divine.

As some may know, we are continuing with the construction of our new temple about 10 min walk away from MYF, on our dear brother Scott’s land! We are partnering with him & he’s helping us fund the project & manifest this dream! 🌈✨

The budget came out to be $50k over the projected cost, and Scott is so generously funding around 100k of the project. So we are calling in support of beloved friends & community to bring this vision to life! 💖

We launched a fundraiser to help make this dream a reality! And we are over halfway to our target 😍 Please share, pray for us, and donate if you feel called! Any amount goes a long way! 🤗

Once Upon a Time...

The Mystical Yoga Farm came into being, it was nestled amongst flowers and singing birds. Located beneath the Sacred Grandfather Rock and at the base of San Pedro Volcano, we came here to inspire others to live in a more regenerative way, in harmony with Mother Earth, our Sisters and Brothers.

Throughout this time the Farm has held space for Yoga Teacher Trainings, Group/Personal Retreats, Permaculture Design Courses, workshops and many other practices that Honours our Connection to All forms of Life, like Song Circles, Sacred Ceremonies, Celebrations and Prayer.

We are truly Grateful for all the Communitea and all of the ameowzing Beings of Light, Soul Sisters and Brothers that have passed through this Sacred Space. Thank you all for sharing your Sparkle, Art, Wisdom, Laughter and Creativitea!
