Guam Regional Medical City is a 150-bed acute care hospital dedicated to excellence and providing world-class medical care to Guam, FSM, CNMI, Palau, & the Marshall Islands. 💙
Accredited by the Joint Commission as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center. 🏥 We offer world-class medical care to the residents of Guam as well as the CNMI, Palau, the FSM, and the Marshall Islands. We are committed to improving the well-being of the people of Guam and Micronesia by tailoring our services to the health care needs of the people who live here. That means being a center of excellence for cardiac care, advanced stroke care, comprehensive cancer care, and by providing a variety of treatments for diabetes, among other diseases. Our Specialty Clinics include Cardiology, Oncology/Hematology, Hyperbaric Wound Care, Neurology, Orthopedics, Pulmonology, Infectious Disease Control, and other departments like Radiology, Patient Education, Rehabilitation Services, and Emergency. Our specialists work in partnership with patients, to treat their conditions and help them stay healthy. We place a premium on disease and injury prevention, as well as health education. Our core philosophy is “Patients Are Partners.” We want to empower our patients by providing them with the knowledge they need to stay healthy, and we want to encourage them to make lifestyle choices that will improve their health and prevent the onset of disease. As part of our patient partnership, we want to ensure that you are aware of our present relationships with Guam private and government health insurance plans since it may affect your out-of-pocket costs for services at GRMC. Following is a summary of coverage by health plan:

MEDICARE & MEDICAID – all services are covered per plan benefits. TRICARE – all services are covered per plan benefits. TRIWEST & VETERAN’S ADMINISTRATION (VA) - – all services are covered per plan benefits. MEDICALLY INDIGENT PROGRAM (MIP) – all services are covered per plan benefits. PRIVATE INSURANCE – all services are covered per plan benefits for the following health plans:

Our Outpatient Specialty Medical Assistants are part of the driving force behind GRMC’s specialty clinics — from Bone & Joint, Wound Care, Cardiology, Neurology, Podiatry, and more! 🦴🫁🦶🏼🫀🧠

They assist in supporting our physicians and specialists by preparing patients for exams, assisting with procedures, updating medical histories, performing diagnostic prep, and ensuring seamless coordination across clinics. Whether it’s helping with wound dressing, cardiac monitoring, or mobility checks, their hands-on care and attention ensure our patients feel taken care of and confident in our work. 🙏🏼

Finishing this week's department recognitions, we are pleased to commemorate National Medical Assistants Week!

Behind every patient receiving care at GRMC’s Cancer Center is a our compassionate team, inclusive of our MA's, who keep our clinics running smoothly and ensure each visit feels personal and supported.

From preparing exam rooms and assisting our radiation oncologist and hematology-oncology physicians, to coordinating patient flow between consultations, infusion therapy, and follow-ups, our MAs are the steady bridge between patients and their care teams. They take vitals, review histories, provide reassurance, and assist with the small details that make a big difference during challenging times.

This National Medical Assistants Week, we celebrate their empathy, precision, and heart for helping patients and their families through every phase of their cancer journey. 💕
