December 28th: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
December 30th: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
January 4th: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

We will resume normal hours starting Tuesday, January 6th, which are:

Winter is the season for retreat and restoration ❄ And while temperatures don't change too much on Guam during this time, we are all invited to conserve our energy for the next few months.

Summer is the season of transformation.

In the Chinese calendar, summer has already started. This is when the new growth of spring faces the rising yang of the environment. Longer days, more heat - this presents opportunity but also danger. Rapid progress and growth, but also drought and fire - this is also traditionally considered the season of war.

The key to summer is moderating excess - we will be tempted to overextend ourselves since there is so much energy in the environment. This is especially true on Guam, since it is a tropical and hot place. Participate in the bustle of life, but don't push too hard - enough will get done even without forcing it. Conserve yin; make time for rest, relaxation, sleep. Drink green tea (cooling and bitter), be expressive and artistic, and let the natural joy of summer carry you forward. It is by enjoying and sharing the modest contentment of being human that we keep our families and communities "warm".
