Yesterday, StayWell Guam Diabetes Foundation received a brand new laptop and projector from the leadership of the Guam Friendship Golf Club.

This Diabetes Awareness Month, we want to shed light on the diabetes epidemic in Guam. The facts are alarming:12% of all adults in Guam have diabetes, with a higher prevalence of 16.2% for those of Chamorro heritage. Children are also affected, with rates of obesity at 23% (obesity is a precursor to diabetes). We are committed to the diabetes community on the island, finding informed solutions and bringing awareness to the crisis. Let's work together, and .
