Uog PIPCHE Liver Cancer Research Study

Official page for UOG U54 PIPCHE Full Project II Chronic liver disease, which can lead to the development of liver cancer, is increasing in the U.S.

and in many parts of the world. Obesity, diabetes, alcohol, and hepatitis viruses are known risk factors. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of cyanobacteria, which are common bacteria found in the environment, and the toxins they produce (cyanotoxins) in the development of chronic liver disease and liver cancer.
