經常都有學生問:學了顱骶骨治療的手法技巧,可否幫自己做 ?
通常我的答案:有一些技巧可以用在自己身上 ,但可以用在自己身上的技巧並不多 。
現在我會答:可以用在自己身上的技巧雖然不多,但是非常有用。
上星期四行山上獅子山,上落山都選擇了原始路徑,下山的時候塔進了鬆土裏, 整個人跌在山坡下,把右腳扭傷了。 當時好痛,等了一會才爬起來, 坐在石頭上好一會兒才下山 。晚上的右腳腳踝腫起來 ,非常痛,行路趷下趷下, 一拐一拐的 。睡覺前認真為自己做治療 。 晚上已經叫先生準備好行山棍,打算第二日倚靠行山棍返工。
Day2 早上起來行路的時候,腳踝有痛,前掌,腳趾公及腳趾尾的地方也有痛楚, 但感覺不是太差 ,再繼續行的時候感覺越來越好。 出門也不需要用行山棍, 只是行路比平時慢及小心。 工作了一整天沒有一個人發現我扭傷腳。 晚上繼續為自己做治療。
Day3 早上起來行路負重的時候感覺良好, 腳趾還有一點緊,但痛楚已經減了七八成, 如常工作了一天,也沒有任何人發現我扭傷腳。
Day4 基本上已經很正常, 只是上落樓梯比較小心。
Day5 把我扭傷腳的事情告訴了同事, 讓他們看見我腳踝的腫脹及瘀血,他們都嚇了一驚, Gilbert特意為我做了一次治療 ,非常舒服, 感謝Gilbert 。
Day6 基本上已經很正常, 步伐輕快自如。
Day7 今天在金鐘站轉車的時候,看見車門大開 ,忍不住跑了一半月台的距離 ,才發現自己的腳已經可以跑步。
Day8 明天( 可能一大早又會去行山)😂😂
Students often ask me if the techniques learned in craniosacral therapy can be used on themselves.
My usual answer is that there are some techniques that can be applied to oneself, but they are not many.
Now I would say: although the techniques applicable to oneself are limited, they are very useful.
Last Thursday, I hiked the Lion Rock, choosing the raw trail. On the way down, I stepped into soft soil and fell down the slope, twisting my right ankle. It was very painful, and I waited for while before getting up. I sat on a rock for quite some time before making my way down. That night, my right ankle swelled up and hurt a lot, making me limp as I walked. Before going to bed, I did some therapy for myself. That evening, I asked my husband to prepare me a hiking pole for the next day.
Day 2: When I got up in the morning and walked, my ankle was painful, as well as the ball of my foot, the big toe, and the little toe. However, it didn’t feel too bad. As I continued walking, it felt better and better. When I went out, I didn’t need the hiking pole; I just walked more slowly and carefully than usual. I worked an entire day without anyone noticing that I had injured my foot. That evening, I continued to work on my ankle with therapy.
Day 3: In the morning, I felt good when I walked. My toes were still a bit tight, but the pain had reduced by 70-80 percent. I worked a full day again, and no one noticed that I had hurt my ankle.
Day 4 Basically back to normal , just a bit cautious when I climbed stairs.
Day 5: I told my colleagues about my ankle injury, showing them the swelling and bruising; they were all quite surprised. Gilbert specifically offered to do a treatment for me, which felt very comfortable. Thank you, Gilbert.
Day 6: I was basically back to normal. Walking easily.
Day 7: Today, while transferring at Admiralty Station, I saw the doors of the train open widely and couldn’t resist running half the platform distance before realizing I could actually run.
Day 8: Tomorrow (I might go hiking again) 😂😂
