Sleep aims to provide our guests exactly what they need for a productive, positive day; whether that's just a good night's sleep, or a snowboard for the day ahead.
Moving can be the best way possible to achieve your best night's sleep, with the activity leaving you needing rest and recuperation. Sleep quality improves through exercise too, with disorders such as sleep apnea and insomnia reducing sharply with the incorporation of physical activity.

Providing the right tools for your day ahead is just another component of adhering to our mission statement of providing peaceful sleep for everyone, everyday, everywhere; and through that providing hopefulness for those that do.

Some of our SLEEEP bases are also hubs for creation. Crafted to give you your best rest, in the context of locations ripe for exploration, built with space in mind for co-creation.
It is our goal to facilitate a culture of helping and looking to our peers for help within these locations, hence the open and shared space within them.
This collaborative culture of creation is something we both embrace and wish to perpetuate; we believe it fosters a deeper feeling of hope that permeates the work undertaken inside them.

Another foot of snow fell last night, making conditions perfect for powder skiing today. You hastily get dressed, and open the door to exit your tatami room. As you make your way to the kitchen for a quick breakfast you encounter another guest, just as excited as you to be the first to the ski lifts, and the first to start gliding down the untouched snow.

You find your hire skis of choice, and click them on, exiting the dark foyer, and entering the bright white of yet another fresh snowfall.

Blog 4: Sleep Disruptors and Solutions in a Tech-Driven World: EMF, Hormones, Sleep Apnea and More

Moving onto what's probably the most relevant blog in our series to all of us. As I type this, I am looking at a screen, and as you read it, so are you.
All of us are affected by technology every single day. As you approach bedtime, the effects of tech can be much more pronounced, leading to less deep sleep, longer time to fall asleep, and distractions that keep you from deciding to sleep longer, as well as the effects of EMF.

Our SLPers are crafted with the ideal night's sleep in mind. Lighting that works alongside your circadian rhythm to wake you up when you want to, air flow control for comfort, adjusted mattress firmness.

We do this because we don't only believe that getting your 7-9 hours is important, but we also believe in the quality of those hours. Providing a secure, customisable environment to our community allow them to function to the very best of their abilities, contributing to society in their own way.

Blog 3: Achieving better rest, through a healthier gut.

A lesser known aspect of sleep is that it's intrinsically linked to your gut's health. an unhealthy gut means unhealthy sleep and vice versa. Your gut is also linked to many other parts - a more spoken about topic in healthcare recently is the Brain-Gut connection. Your gut is, in part, responsible for your mood – to the extent that some doctors now prescribe antidepressants for IBS.

It's no secret that sleep deprivation (extended wakefulness) is bad for you - but what does it actually do?
The first image shows an MRI scan of a brain after a good night's sleep, whilst the latter shows a sleep deprived one. They show a clear decline in neural activity in the sleep deprived brain; the effects of which manifest in numerous ways.
