Hepatitis is common in Hong Kong. Some people with hepatitis have little to no symptoms at all, so we better arrange regular medical check-ups to monitor our health condition.

In the later stages of hepatitis, jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes) may occur. 😖 Chronic hepatitis may have no symptoms until the liver stops functioning (liver failure), and can only be diagnosed through blood tests. 🩸 🩸 💉

Symptoms of Hepatitis:
😷 Muscle and joint pain
😷 Feeling unusually tired, or sick all of the time
😷 Loss of appetite, stomach pain
😷 Stool color is pale
😷 Yellowing of eyes and skin (Jaundice)

香港近年興起食水煙，不少年輕人對其不同的味道及香味充滿好奇，故此吸引愈來愈人吸食並在社交媒體「打卡」，以炫耀此吸煙方式。

部份人誤以為食水煙比吸食普通卷煙安全，其實水煙所產生的煙霧在通過水後，仍含有大量有毒化合物，包括焦油、一氧化碳、重金屬和致癌化合物，以及導致吸食者對尼古丁持續依賴。

水煙與普通卷煙一樣會危害健康，吸食者都面臨相同的疾病風險，包括患上口腔癌、肺癌、心臟疾病及降低肺部功能。

Waterpipe smoking is becoming more popular among the youth in Hong Kong. Its taste and aroma attract young people who tend to show-off this type of smoking on social media.

Contrary to the belief of many waterpipe smokers, waterpipe smoking is not safer than smoking ci******es. Even after the smoke has passed through water, it contains numerous toxicants including tar, carbon monoxide, heavy metal and cancer-causing chemicals, and ni****ne which causes dependence.

Both waterpipe and cigarette smoking are harmful. Waterpipe and cigarette smokers are at the risk of the same spectrum of diseases including oral cancer, lung cancer, heart disease and reduced lung function.
