Testing of head hair is a highly precise and clinically validated method for identifying chronic alcohol misuse. We have introduced Hair Ethyl Glucuronide (EtG) test, which is the most effective approach to identify long-term patterns of alcohol consumption rather than just recent intake.

頭髮酒精檢測
利用頭髮進行酒精檢測是目前鑑定慢性酒精濫用極為精準且經臨床驗證的方法。本中心引進了頭髮乙基葡萄糖醛酸苷（Ethyl Glucuronide (EtG) test）測試，它能識別長期的飲酒模式，而非僅僅近期的攝取量。

乙基葡萄糖醛酸苷（Ethyl Glucuronide, 簡稱 EtG） 是人體攝入乙醇（酒精）後，在肝臟中產生的一種直接代謝物。EtG 會隨著髮生長而保留在髮芯中。

傳統的酒精檢測（如呼氣或血液測試）只能偵測到數小時內的酒精含量。一旦酒精被代謝完畢，就無法得知一個人近期是否飲酒。

美國非牟利組織「Healthy Babies Bright Futures」抽查巿面168款主要食品商生產的嬰兒食品，驗出多種重金屬。其中，95%食物樣本含鉛(lead)，73%含有俗稱砒霜的砷（arsenic），73%含鎘（cadmium），32%含有水銀（mercury），嚴重影響嬰兒腦部發育和智商。
