【颱風安排】診所會根據天文台最新風暴消息，如八號熱帶氣旋警告信號或更高的信號發出，為保障病人及員工安全，診所服務有如下安排：

- 於診所服務時間前生效：診所將暫停服務。
- 於診所服務時間前2小時取消：當日診所服務如常
- 於診所服務時間期間至下午2時取消：診所服務於八號熱帶氣旋警告信號取消後2小時陸續恢復服務.
- 於下午2小時或之後取消：診所將暫停服務

[Typhoon Arrangements] The clinic will base on the latest storm news from the Hong Kong Observatory, such as Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or higher, to ensure the safety of patients and staff, the clinic services have the following arrangements:

- Effective before clinic service hours: The clinic will suspend services.
- Cancellation 2 hours before clinic service time: Clinic services will remain as usual on that day
- Cancellation during clinic service hours until 2 p.m.: Clinic services will be resumed 2 hours after the cancellation of Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about the importance of early detection and treatment of breast cancer.

• Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in Hong Kong*
• One in 13 women in Hong Kong are at risk of developing breast cancer*^
• Breast cancer ranks as the 3rd leading cause of cancer related deaths among women in Hong Kong*

季節性流行性感冒

秋季及開學將至，又是季節性流行性感冒（流感）高峰期。由流感病毒引致的急性呼吸道疾病。在本港，季節性流感一般於一至三／四月和七、八月較為流行。中卓醫務已提供新的2024/2025四價流感疫苗。

四價疫苗可防禦以下的病毒︰
• 類甲型/維多利亞4897/2022 (H1N1)pdm09病毒
• 類甲型/泰國/8/2022 (H3N2) 病毒
• 類乙型/奧地利/1359417/2021 (B/Victoria譜系) 病毒
• 類乙型/布吉/3073/2013 (B/Yamagata譜系) 病毒

季節性流感疫苗接種能安全和有效地預防季節性流感和其併發症。一般建議在每年秋天時分接種流感疫苗，接種疫苗後約兩星期，體內便會產生足夠抗體對抗流感。

Seasonal Influenza

Autumn approaches, bringing the start of school and the Peak Season for Seasonal Influenza, also known as the flu. In Hong Kong, seasonal influenza is generally more prevalent from January to March/April, as well as July and August. Hong Kong Medical Consultants (HKMC) is now providing the new 2024/2025 Quadrivalent Influenza vaccine.

The Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccine protects from the following viruses:
• an A/Victoria/4897/2022 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus
• an A/Thailand/8/2022 (H3N2)-like virus
• a B/Austria/1359417/2021(B/Victoria lineage)-like virus
• a B/Phuket/3073/2013(B/Yamagata lineage)-like virus

Seasonal Influenza Vaccines are safe and effective in preventing the flu and its complications. It is generally recommended to get a flu vaccine every autumn. About two weeks after vaccination, the body will produce enough antibodies to fight the flu.

中卓醫務一直致力於企業社會責任。今次特別參與ImpactHK於2024年8月24日早上舉行的社區廚房計劃及食物支援計劃。此計劃每月為無家者及有需要的基層市民提供至少9,000份膳食。
當日，中卓醫務同事上下一心，眾志成城成功分配飯餸、運送及分發飯盒予已登記的無家者及及有需要的基層市民。
雖然只是一個簡單的飯盒，也能為無家者注入繼續奮鬥的能量。

Hong Kong Medical Consultants (HKMC) has always been committed to Corporate Social Responsibility. On the 24th of August 2024, HKMC staff teamed up with ImpactHK in their ‘Cook & Serve’ programme. ImpactHK distributes close to 9,000 meal boxes a month. On that day, HKMC’s colleagues worked together as one and successfully distributed meals and transported lunch boxes to those in need. Even though it’s just a simple lunchbox, it can go a long way.
