【Asia first use of BeFlared stent by Division of Vascular Surgery, HKUMed 🏥】

At April, The Division of Vascular Surgery, HKUMed performed the Asia-first use of the BeFlared stent to treat a 77-year-old patient suffering from E. Coli mycotic aortic pseudoaneurysms. Two pseudoaneurysms in the descending thoracic and supra-celiac abdominal aorta were successfully excluded using a custom-made four-vessel fenestrated graft. The celiac axis and both renal arteries were bridged with the innovative BeFlared stent.

The BeFlared stent is the world's first dedicated bridging stent for fenestrated endovascular aneurysm repair. It enhances the delivery and fixation of the target vessel stent, simplifying the procedure and reducing operating time. 🩺✨
