The prostate plays a crucial role in men's urinary and reproductive health. However, as men age, many may experience varying degrees of prostate-related issues.
Dr. Wilson Hung, Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor of the Department of Surgery, was recently interviewed on RTHK’s program Doctor and You. He gave an in depth explanation of common prostate conditions, their characteristics, and causes, including Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer.
He also discussed treatment and prevention strategies, as well as the significance of Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) as an initial screening tool that helps in the preliminary diagnosis of prostate diseases, and what the PSA levels may indicate.
