【🌍 Advancing Breast Cancer Genetics Through Global Collaboration】
We were honoured to welcome Professor Christian Singer from the Medical University of Vienna, hosted by Professor Ava Kwong and the Division of Breast Surgery, for a truly inspiring and fruitful knowledge exchange. 🤝✨
During our research meeting on 28 April, we shared valuable insights, expertise, and forward-looking perspectives in breast cancer genomics and genetic counselling. 🧬💡 The vibrant discussion not only strengthened academic ties but also paved the way for exciting future collaborations and impactful research ahead.
On 29 April, Professor Singer delivered an engaging lecture to our MMedSc (Genetic Counselling) students on Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer. Students gained in-depth knowledge of genetics while also receiving valuable inspiration on the importance of international knowledge exchange. 🌐 Professor Ava Kwong further emphasised a key message, “There is always something new to learn, even at a Professorial level.” She highlighted the importance of embracing every opportunity to learn, whether at international conferences or through hospital visits, reinforcing a culture of lifelong learning and global collaboration. 🌟
