In early December, under the arrangement of Lamma Animal Welfare Centre and , we conducted a "Trap-Neuter-Release" ( ) operation.
Thanks to the private covered area provided by Mrs. Mok, the owner of Hung Shing Yeh convenience store, as a shelter for the cats, we were able to successfully relocate them.
Last November, the program was officially launched!
The primary goal is to find resources to provide a stable food supply for the community's animals.
This is all thanks to the support of our community.
Many donated valuable items that we sold to raise funds for food, all living supplies and medical care for the rescued animals awaiting adoption and some sponsored;
The neighbour provided contact information for quality, affordable food suppliers;
When our dry food supplies failed to arrive in time in mid-October, Pets Village generously donated a large quantity of kibble samples, which not only solved our immediate crisis but also saved us a considerable amount.
Our three community dogs have received food and treats from those who have quietly cared for them over the years. Volunteers Sandrine B Nathalie and Colin Clarke feed them in shifts day and night.
With a stable feeding location, the Hung Shing Yeh cats are no longer forced to forage for food at the garbage dump at night, especially the kittens who have been struggling to survive under such harsh conditions!
This location also makes the operation, which needs to be completed so desperately, much more effective!
These four darling kittens, then 2 month old, were spotted playing energetically under the blazing sun the day before the TNR operation in December. They didn't seem too afraid of people!
To give them a better life, we sent them to Calum Macintyre Page as foster a few days later… They're absolutely thrilled with their new home under Calum's care!
Every evening – the cat house door is wide open for free play! They play until they're tired, and every night return to their room (a big cat cage) to sleep at 10 pm sharp! 😴💗
This past Saturday, they just received their first vaccinations… They are READY for their own homes!
We're pairing them up according to their level of closeness, either with two males or two females, to help them find loving homes 🐾🫶

Life, how precious!
These wild animals, their original habitat was in the mountains.
Kind humans provide them with sufficient food and a safe home. The price they pay is their freedom, and the sacrifice of their innate need for movement.
With homes, they can no longer climb trees, no longer feel the nourishment of the earth. In some homes, they can no longer nap under the blazing sun. Then, at least we can give them enough happiness?
They are individuals with flesh and blood, feelings, joy, and sorrow. That happiness comes from interaction with their own packs, which is especially essential for the physical and mental development of young kittens, and something that humans can never ever replace.

12月初，在 Lamma Animal Welfare Centre 跟 的安排下，我們進行了「捕捉絕育放回計劃 」行動。
由於得到洪聖爺灘士多老闆娘莫太為毛孩提供的私人有蓋場地作為安身之所。去年11月， #社區毛孩社區養 計劃正式啟動了！
首要目標，是尋找資源為社區毛孩提供穩定糧食。
這全靠各街坊支持，無論是..... 有些街坊資助、有些捐出好物讓我們賣出換來資金購買糧食及救援後待領養動物的一切生活物資及醫療所須、提供優質低廉糧供應商聯絡資料的街坊、在十月中乾糧未能趕及運送，Pets Village 慷慨捐出龐大份量的乾糧sample，足以解決當前燃眉之急之餘，更讓我們省下不少； #大灣肚 的三個社區狗狗，這多年來一直得到一羣默默守護著他們的街坊提供食物零食；義工 Sandrine B Nathalie 和 Colin Clarke 更每天分日夜班餵飼。
洪聖爺貓咪羣有了穩定餵食地點，便能免於他們在山邊繼續在晚間要到垃圾站找食物的生活，尤其是不斷出生的貓B一直在這種嚴峻情況下勉強成長生存！
也因為有了這個場地，必須盡快完成的TNR，進行時便能夠有效得多！
這四個當時兩個月大的貓寶寶，就是在12月的TNR行動進行前一天，我們在場地見到他們飛天遁地的在大太陽底下玩耍，看來也不是太怕人！
為了給他們一個更好的生活，隔幾天我們便把他們送到愛心暫托人 Calum Macintyre Page 家裏….. 在這個家和Calum的照顧下，他們可樂透了！
每天傍晚時候 - - - 貓屋門長開，是自由活動時間！他們玩夠玩累，每晚十點便依時自行回到房間(貓屋)睡覺！😴💗
剛過去的星期六，他們打了第一支防疫針…. 他們，已經做好有家的準備了！
我們因應他們之間的親密程度，以兩男或兩女的配對，幫助他們尋找屬於他們的愛家 🐾🫶

善心人類為他們提供足夠食量、安全的家
他們付出的代價是自由
還有放棄他們與生俱來的活動需求
有了家
不能再爬樹、不能感受泥土滋養
在有些家，不能在大太陽下小睡
那麼
至少我們能給他們足夠的快樂嗎？
他們是有血有肉有感情有喜樂有哀傷的個體
那快樂是來自跟同類的互動
對孩童身心發展尤其重要
是人類永遠永遠不能取替的
