Shoulder injury in HYROX doesn’t have to be your story 💪⚡️ Here are simple tips to protect your shoulders while you train:

✅ Strengthen your ROTATOR CUFF - the primary stabilisers of your shoulder joint.

✅ Train your scapular muscles - STRONG scapular control = SAFER pressing + carrying.

✅ Improve your thoracic mobility to reduce shoulder’s compensation during overhead movements.

✅ Warm up AND cool down like you mean it. Spend at least 5 minutes getting blood to the shoulders + upper back before working them on high demand.

✅ Progress volume/intensity gradually and seek help from professionals if persistent pain does not settle with rest.

Shin splint is a common overuse injury especially among newbies, often caused by a rapid increase in training volume and intensity. Without proper rehab guidance and neglecting the pain, this could eventually prolong the recovery time for returning to sports.

📚 Florence completed her Master of Physiotherapy Practice degree in Australia and commenced her practice at a private hospital upon graduation. During her tenure at the hospital setting, Florence developed her passion and gained comprehensive experience in treating sport injuries, women’s health and pain management. Alongside with her accreditation in Acupuncture, Florence is determined to deliver her expertise in a holistic and comprehensive approach.

My physio is always attentive and thorough in explanation, so that I could learn the reasons and take better care of myself in the long run.
